Our recent stay in Savannah included this VRBO. I had no problems booking the home however upon arrival the only way into this house is up about 25 or 30 steps either through the front door or back. I am older and have a walking disability so it made it extremely rough for me to maneuver the house. Also there is a ton of trash all around the outside of the home and neighbors yards and right next-door there is a house under construction outside is a big mess. Also strangely enough during our stay there was not one but three different times we were on the front porch and there were people down on the sidewalks arguing loud enough for all of us to hear. The house itself was OK I wouldâve appreciated a little more updated and sturdy furniture. The kitchen was adequate for cooking supplies etc. however whoever stayed there last did not do a very good job washing the dishes. The bathroom had nice towels in it there was enough space to maneuver around the dining area was OK and I did appreciate the extra utensils mixers etc. for the bar. The neighbors downstairs were very polite. I would appreciate a few upgrades to this older home but overall it was an OK stay
If youâre decently fit, this is a great location. Outside of historic area but just a short walk away, and much better price than what you pay in historic area. Off street parking space and plenty of free street parking are both huge perk.
Mitch was an excellent and highly responsive host.
Clean apartment, nice space. The apartment is old and with that comes what youâd expect (can hear neighbors / street noise), especially in the room that borders the street and apartment.
During the reservation process, I had a couple of questions which I sent to the owner, Mitchell. He responded within 20 minutes and was happy to answer any questions I had. Unfortunately, we had to cancel at the last minute due to COVID-19, so I can't review the property itself. This site required that I enter values though - so I gave 5 stars even though I did not actually see the property. Mitchell continued to be a gracious host and worked with us to come to an agreeable solution literally hours before we were to check in. When this is all over, we will certainly look to re-book with him!
We got bumped from a property we reserved through another travel service on the first weekend of spring break, which was also Easter weekend! We were desperate for a place for our family of 6 and Mitch was a god-send. The house was an easy walk to Forsyth Park and all the charms of Savannah. It was also beautifully decorated and had two porches for enjoying the cool morning air. SIX stars!
