This property is perfect with the owners attention to anything and everything you might need. Beautiful surroundings, close to mountain town amenities or never leave it till you have to. We loved it!
We had a great time. The home was stocked with everything we needed.
We celebrated my momâs 90th birthday at this beautiful home. There was something for everyone. All of us enjoyed the great game room/den with pool table and air hockey and wonderful open living area. The views from the deck were amazing. This home is convenient to town, yet secluded.
This place was perfect for our large group of 10! We had 3 families with various aged kiddos. The layout of the house and availability of beds worked great. Kids could watch movies in basement and adults could easily talk, cook and hang out in open kitchen/living room upstairs. We all enjoyed having coffee with a clear shot of Pikeâs Peak in the morning! Gorgeous views from the house. Howie and Liliana were gracious, helpful hosts. We are so ready to come book this place again for next family trip!!đ
Our group had an excellent time. The house is huge, the furnishing is awesome, the view is magnificent and the gentle breeze through the trees is both calming and inspirational.
Out in the country and secluded, but just a few short minutes from Woodland Park. If your bedroom is on the ground floor, I recommend that you keep the blinds open so that the local ambassador (about a 2-year old doe) can take your breakfast order. Of course if you are bashful, you might want to reconsider.
Thanks again Liliana and Wendell for your over-the-top hospitality!
Highly recommend!
The property was beautiful and the care that the owner and property manager took of the property was wonderful. I did feel that the pictures and description were a bit deceiving. The property owner may have 50 acres of land, but you are sharing it with two other houses and 2 RVâs. The lake and fire pits are not truly adjacent to the houses, but rather in the middle of the shared area. You need to reserve a fire pit and the driveway in is shared between all the houses, so from the beginning you do not feel like you are in a private location.
Communication with the owners and the property manager was excellent. They provided concise directions as we neared our destination so we knew exactly where to go.
The home was clean and well kept. The master has a king bed, and two other bedrooms on the main level provided room for 6 guests. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs that can sleep 4 easily.
The kids enjoyed the air hockey table.
The property has some real neat historical Homefront buildings and unfortunately for us, we did not fish the ponds since they were frozen over.
The location is about 7 mins west of woodland park, just a short turn off of highway 24 so it was easy to get into town and also to head out further west.
Enjoyable stay for a quiet getaway in the mountains.
Property was really nice, and Wendell was very attentive. As with any place there is always a thing or two that could be improved but they are minor. Overall terrific place and would definitely recommend.
This is our sixth or seventh stay in this house and as always it was perfect. Everything about the house was as advertised and very clean. The owners area always available and quick to respond if you need anything. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Awesome property. The owners were very helpful and took care of any issues we had immediately. This property is well located for visiting attractions in the region.
The property is just amazing. The views are stunning. The location is perfect - the house is on 50 acres so you feel like you are out in the wilderness, but you are only about 7 minutes from town. The best of both worlds! The owners are very friendly, helpful and respectful. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful property very spacious and roomy we had a great time. Loved exploring the woods and venturing out onto the frozen pod. Had minor issues but on-site manager was quick to address anything that came up. Very attentive host..
It was a beautiful place to stay. With that said, to me, itâs the little things that matter. And this place was lacking some of the âlittle thingsâ. Such as the beds were not that comfortable and the shower head in one bathroom was basically non functional. We went and purchased another shower head. The owner installed it, didnât bother to pay us back, and left trash for us to clean up when he was done. Overall it accommodated us well, but again, itâs the little things.
My family (6 adults and 5 children) had an amazing stay at this wonderful house! The house itself was clean, large enough for all of us, and it was nestled in the woods with trees all around and a view of the mountains. The kids LOVED fishing and making smores in our very own chimney on the deck. They also loved exploring in the woods right outside the house. We saw many deer and chipmunks. Wendell was extremely responsive to all of our requests. We especially appreciate that he immediately brought up a new propane tank when ours ran out in the middle of BBQing dinner! The kids also loved it when he took them to help him feed the fish one night. It was a joyful time for our family.
We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. We had 2 families with 11 people total and there was plenty of space for everyone. Home was very clean. Owner lives on the property in another location so if we had questions he was nearby. Kids loved fishing in the trout pond. Only negative was the condition of the deck off the kitchen. Definitely needs to be replaced soon. Otherwise itâs a fantastic property.
We had a wonderful time at this property. We fished, hiked, had morning breakfast on the deck, and sâmores at night. Everything was great. Our family of ten (6adults and 4 kids) had an unforgettable time, full of happy memories. Great house.
Our group had another amazing stay at this home. This is our 4th or 5th time to stay in the house and each time service and amenities are always top notch. We look forward to our next visit.
We stayed here fir an extended family vacation. The house was great with beautiful views. Our kids liked the fishing ponds and fire pit. We had fun making sâmores. Lillie and Wendel were attentive to any issue we had and responded right away. The house is remote but a quick drive into Woodland Park for restaurants.and groceries. We would recommend this property to anyone.
This is just the place we needed. It was away from all the city craziness, yet close enough to run to the store. We were able to relax and just enjoy good friends and fresh air.
We purchased the property back in 1999 with my father and brother. In 2001 we had finished our homes. Mine and my brothers homes are approximate approximately 4000 Sq Ft. with my fathers at around 2000 Sq Ft. located right on one of the Trout Ponds. (He fishes from his deck).
The Trout Creek Ranch is an incredible property with a stream (Trout Creek) running through the middle of the Valley thru two Trout Ponds. We have so enjoyed the property with nearby access to over 150 miles of trails through the National Forest. We are only 5 minutes from the town of Woodland Park and 25 minutes from Colorado Springs.
