Downtown Haven Retreat - 2 Bed/2 Bath Flat in the Heart of Downtown - Sleeps 4
Welcome to the Dr. J.R. Mitchell House! Built in 1909 as what is believed to be the first animal clinic in Evansville, this century-old home has been renovated and modernized. This downstairs apartment was Dr. Mitchellâs original animal clinic while his familyâs quarters was located upstairs.
Inside, youâll discover urban comfort at our 2 bed, 2 bath apartment and be just steps away from shopping, dining, and all that the downtown riverfront area has to offer.
Great place to stay. You can walk to Museums, downtown and shop's. Parking is in front making it easy to come and go. Loved the home, It's clean and cozy. A home away from home feel.
This place was very quaint and reminded me of the apartment in the show âFriendsâ!
It was very clean, quaint, perfect for my dad and I with their two separate bedrooms and bathrooms.
The ONLY thing I would say that was a little downside was the noise from upstairs apartment. Other than that, five star review from me!!
My niece and I drove in from Florida for a family wedding in Newburgh and stayed at Nathanâs place. It was just perfect for the two of us, although there was definitely room for more! Beautiful, clean place with super comfortable beds and everything that we needed in the kitchen đ we didnât get to explore downtown Evansville much but this location is walking distance from some fun stuff. Nathan was very helpful and quickly responded to our messages.
Great host, great place. Highly recommend!
Hi I'm Nathan, I've been in real estate since 2013 and have been hosting guests in our Evansville properties since 2020. I'm an Evansville native, lived in Nashville, TN for 15 years, and returned to the area to raise our five children. We're looking forward to hosting you in our property!
The home is located in a prime downtown spot. We're only 3 blocks from both Main Street and the Riverfront. It's walkable to some great bars, restaurants, and so much more!
This historic building has great history as it was built as the first veterinary clinic in Evansville, over 100 years ago. It has been modernized with a great renovation back in 2008 but still maintains its original charm with exposed brick walls throughout.
