Cozy Small Cabin just a 2 minute walk to Lake Huron with a beautiful beach.
Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway & enjoy a private rustic cabin in the woods. Old cabin charm is abundant in this quaint 3 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin. Recent upgrades include new roof, tongue and groove pine ceiling over spray foam, insulation, & beautifully remastered Chimney that will last for years to come. Linens are provided along with other amenities such as bowls, cups, & silverware. Brand new to the rental market in between East Tawas & Oscoda. Close walk to Lake Huron.
The property was so nice and clean and well taken care of. The location to the lake was a nice short walk, super convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is very nicely appointed. Lots of handy kitchen supplies and plenty of towels! We made great use of the BBQ and enjoyed walking on the beach with our dog.
The property was like staying in a treehouse everywhere you looked out all you saw was beautiful trees. Serendipity is a perfect name for it. There were multiple gorgeous beaches within walking distance of the cabin and the state Park Beach is a quick drive down the road. If youâd like to shop, both downtown in East Tawas have lots of nice little souvenir places to check out. Tawas isnât really a rock collecting area, but if you look carefully in the sea walls, all around town, there are tons of fossils. There are even fossils in the fire pit of the property!!!! The property was furnished beautifully and had anything you could think you might need for a stay up north. The three cozy bedrooms would be perfect for a small family. Thereâs also plenty of space to hang out in the cabin on a rainy day. If youâre like me, and need to telecommute during your stay, the Internet was blazing fast! The neighborhood is perfect for long walks! My dogs loved checking out all the sniffs. I donât think we went on the same walk twice over a weekâs stay.We really enjoyed our stay at Serendipity!
This cabin gives the experience of the past with well done renovation and updates. The owners have paid close attention to guests' comfort and convenience. Only downside is the proximity to 23 and road noise that can be shut out with closed windows. Good proximity to parks, conveniences, other towns.
My family spent a long weekend at this cottage for my wife's birthday and we loved it. Family of four, one teen and one pre-teen, each had their own room (it's a three bedroom). The place was clean and well decorated. It's between East Tawas and Oscoda/Au Sable, a little closer to East Tawas but a fairly quick drive either way. The neighborhood has beach access about two blocks away from the cottage - an easy walk for a nice stretch of sandy beach, which was largely unoccupied when we were there.
East Tawas is on a lengthy bike/pedestrian trail, which made for a great ride - we biked out to Tawas Point to see the lighthouse. There are a decent amount of restaurants between the cities, a grocery store, and public parks with beach access in East Tawas as well.
The hosts have stocked the place with some games and there is a fire pit. They know what short-term guests might want or need - soap and shampoo, plenty of towels, etc. We wholeheartedly recommend this cottage, and my kids already want to come back again next summer.
