Found Little Cayman island the opposite of seven mile beach. This house is modern and steps from the water. Even saw big lobsters a few feet from shore! Owner very on top of the property..well maintained and very clean. Visited the Hungary iguana ( known as the lizard) for lunch

I am a 10th generation Caymanian with European/British ancestry. I was born and raised in Grand Cayman at a time when the Cayman Islands were still pretty much known as "the Islands time forgot" before "progress" came and development took over almost every inch of Grand Cayman. Wishing my own child to have a similar childhood experience as I, I bought the land and built "Rest Azured" as our haven from the madness of Grand Cayman! Thankfully, Little Cayman is still pristine so we have made it our retreat from the hectic pace of the "Grand" island! We would like to share it with you when we are not in town!
Rest Azured is tucked away, off Guy Banks Road, nestled in between seagrape trees with a lovely view of the ocean from almost every room. It was built in 2010 and has every modern convenience including air conditioning and fans in every room. It has large windows to capture the beautiful outdoors and for enjoying the Trade Winds which blow gently to cool the Islands during the months of November through March. On the main level, there is a large porch for swinging in a hammock or to dine outdoors while on the ground level, there is a very large deck and barbeque area. Ofcourse the beach and ocean are just steps away. Rest Azured is purposely very private, very low key because the whole point of your stay is to "chillax". If that is not your goal, then Little Cayman is probably not the best choice for you!
The peacefulness of the area with only the sound of birds in the trees or the calming roar of the ocean make it a natural sedative. No need to bring Xanax! You will probably never see or hear another person during your stay, but if you do, they will more than likely be tourists fly fishing from the shore so just wave at them, our custom here. You will be waved at on the road as well so don't panic, it is unlikely anyone you know has followed you here! Just wave back!
