Welcome to the Sunfish Room at The Suites @ Fairport Harbor. The Sunfish room is well appointed and is perfect for the traveler looking for a cost effective upscale stay. The Sunfish room is similar to the typical hotel room, except it has a small but full kitchen. The Sunfish room is located on the second floor, and has easy access to all that Fairport has to offer. Walk across the street to the Lyric Bistro, Creamery, or putt putt golf. Walk a block away to the beach going north, or a block south to Jul Beans Coffee and Crepes.
I contacted the owner before providing this review because as a STR owner myself I wanted to give them an opportunity to discuss. I have never had to give this place a bad review previously and my stays in other units of the building were great. This particular room was bad. It was clean and adequately equipped but there was a horrible fish/old seafood smell. Almost unbearable. Like someone hid a box of crab legs under the bed and they had been sitting there for weeks. To make matters worse, the heat was too high. The room temperature was about 85 degrees with no way to adjust the temperature - No thermostat. On top of that, we could not open the window because the downstairs permanent tenants stood outside that window all night long smoking and partying. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a short term rental.I did message the owner and let them know about the concerns and Zach told me that he would call me to discuss. He never did, hence the negative review.
Only complaint is that we didnât stay longer! We spent a quick night while we were in Cleveland for a concert. In the AM we made our way down to the public beach⊠very nice. Perfect simple and clean room/space for two. Definitely will be back.
This cozy little room has everything you might need. It was quiet and well equipped, and very clean. Also, Zach was very responsive to any of my questions. It was easy to gain access and the best location ever. We will be back!
This property was accurate to description, walking distance to Fairport beach park, cute little downtown, close to Headlands Beach, dinner at Pickle Bills is a must. We will stay again.
Nice Apartment. Great neighborhood with small town ice cream shop, family restaurant and coffee shops nearby. Could use some improvements⊠No electric outlet in bathroom. Single cup coffee maker did not work. Local blackout â not fault of ownerâ but there were no emergency lights in building
The only problem that I had was that I was not able to receive the email that told me the check in details. Apparently it was sent while I was on the road and I didnât have cell service to be able to access it when we arrived. The issue was taken care of with a phone call and everything went smoothly from then on.
We stayed at the Sunfish Room in Fairport Harbor for the "Harboriitaville" festival that honored Jimmy Buffett. The room was about 200 feet from the festival and 0.3 miles to the beach. I was also walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and museums.
