Beautiful ocean views

First trip to Cozumel. Came with my Person, and 20 y/o son and son’s girlfriend. Hosts are awesome - great communication. Helpful with transportation. Property is clean and beautiful and amazing to be able to jump in the ocean right off the pool deck. Very safe area. Close to everything. Rented a car - glad to have the flexibility and not very expensive and there is free parking on site. Used laundry machine and dryer - worked great. Coffee maker works great - you do not need to buy paper filters for it! Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of Culligan style drinking water. Bed plenty comfortable in master. 2nd bedroom - management pushed the twin beds together to convert to big bed and added a mattress cover and it was plenty comfortable. A/C was a little difficult to understand at first - thought had turned it off when we left condo and later found out we had left it on - but eventually figured it out. AC works really well and fast. Quiet area - peaceful. Ship watching awesome. Would love to come back some day.

A Gem in Cozumel

We loved our stay! This is a great location and a wonderful condo. We enjoyed the two balconies so much - there is a third off the 2nd bedroom too. We snorkeled in front of the condo - GREAT! We saw sting rays, turtles and so many colorful fish. Matt gave us excellent recommendations like - the tiki hut on the south side of the island called Welcome to Miami. It is a must. The Mojito is fabulous!! We loved the fish and pizza and Guidos and La Choza had fantastic Mexican cuisine. It was a great trip and we highly recommend this spot. You won’t be disappointed. Also loved drinks at Hemingways - wouldn’t recommend food.

What a Place

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Cozumel and at our Miramar Condo. We enjoy the north side of the island for its snorkeling right at the property. Of course, this means no sandy beach (which one of my daughters would have preferred), but as a whole, we enjoyed this choice. The condo is clean and offers beautiful views of the sunset. The pool and outdoor area is clean and enjoyable.

Fabulous condos and location!

We had a great trip to Cozumel with our friends! The condo was perfect for the kind of trip we wanted. It was quiet and relaxing. We sat on the patio watching the cruise ships in the morning and enjoyed the pool all afternoon. Loved the snorkeling experience and the fact that we could go anytime. Fabulous vacation and we’re planning to come back next year!

Perfect condo and facility

Just checked out after 6 great nights. The condo is exactly as advertised. The AC worked great, which was needed the first afternoon we got there and one or two other afternoons. Otherwise we opened the doors and windows and let the beautiful ocean breeze blow through. The pool and chairs was nice. The diving board was fun, and the ladder was nice to get out. Snorkeled a bunch both ways up the wall. Very nice. Be careful of currents

Condo and owners are amazing!

First of all, Matias and Isabell were the kindest, most responsive owners I've ever dealt with on VRBO. This was the first time I've rented a VRBO property outside the US, and even though Cozumel is a tourist destination, we still struggled a little with communication (not with owners!) Here's the best example. After our first day, we were exhausted and didn't want to take a taxi to get dinner. There is a Domino's on the island, but my Domino's app said they didn't deliver to our condo. I tried to call Domino's, but my cell phone didn't dial the numbers right. I emailed Matias and he responded right away and he asked me what we wanted and ordered for us! The condo was sparkling clean and we never heard any other residents at all. It's a very small, and quiet property. The view from the master bedroom and family room patio was amazing. Our biggest expense was the taxis. The condo is within walking distance (a mile or so) to only one of two restaurants, so a taxi is a must to get around. However, It's $10 to town and pretty much $20-25 to any of the snorkeling places, or the nature park. We later realized that you can rent a car for about $20/day but driving is a little scary so you must be careful. I think we could've done it though....we didn't cook at the condo so I can't say anything about what's provided for cooking but there is a grocery store you can buy your food at. The condos water isn't good to drink and they provide a large water cooler with good water.

A perfect place to watch the sunset

This condo was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and dishes, and when the glass carafe on the coffee pot broke, Matt had a new one there within an hour. We had to get used to the stairs that had no railing on one side; it took a day and we ran up and down like we lived there. The master bed was really comfortable and we left the a/c off to catch the breeze and sound of the ocean. The condo is on the 4th floor. Remember, however, that the first floor is below street level, so it was really only two flights. We are not strong swimmers and the current in front of the building was too strong for us to be comfortable in the water - that was the only fly. Thank you to Matt and the staff for a lovely vacation.

Perfect Condo For Our Trip

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Cozumel and stayed at Miramar Condo. We have stayed here with our family several times before and Isabella and Matias are wonderful! We would recommend to anyone, first class experience and a wonderful place to stay in a perfect location close to everything.

Our Best Vacation Yet

We absolutely loved this property. The property is beautiful, the unit was perfect for our family, and the location is super convenient. In addition, the management was wonderful and very attentive. There were many activities available on the island and we found it quite easy to take the ferry to the mainland for activities there. My husband and two daughters stayed in condo #402. It was very nice. We rented a car which was perfect because the town is a little far to walk. The town is very safe and has delicious local food. If you want to go diving you need to call Rene at Chili charters. Amazing company!!! We will definitely come back!

Great Stay

I stayed six nights in Miramar 402 the first week of March 2019. I absolutely love the condo and the property. The first thing I noticed was that it’s so quiet and peaceful. I was met by Jose who showed me the condo. After that, I was never intruded upon the whole week. The pool area is gorgeous and being on the top floor gave great sweeping views. The condo is very spacious with a very comfortable king bed with balcony. One of the reasons I rent condos is for the washer and dryer. This stacked unit didn’t disappoint. It worked great. I also loved the modern large smart TV with Netflix and cable. The sweeping balcony on this level is right below the MBR balcony and provides the same great views. This time of year, open the slider and let the breeze in. Although the A/C works great, it was hardly necessary. There is a large ceiling fan to circulate the air. The same goes for the MBR. I met a lot of nice folks during the of all ages. There was none of the hustle and bustle you find at a large resort. Everyone would gather around the pool area and chit chat. It was kind of like family. I also enjoyed jumping into the turquoise blue Caribbean water from the diving board. You can swim and snorkel but just beware there could be currents. I spent a lot of time in town and taxis are readily available out front. The going rate is 75 pesos to anywhere in town. Special thanks to Matt for coordinating my stay.

Perfect relaxing condo in Cozumel

This condo is the perfect place to relax in Cozumel for a couple or a small family. We stayed for 9 nights in November. The management and building maintenance team are super friendly, responsive and on it and this property is very well taken care of. There is easy parking in front, and flagging a cab for the 75 peso fixed fee trip to town was simple. The location is great, it is not very far north of town, but it is quiet, and on a gorgeous stretch of open ocean. The snorkelling is really fun in front, just watch out for the current. There are some beach clubs, restaurants and fast food within a 20 minute or so walk. The pool is clean and unheated, and the pool area was never overpopulated and often very quiet while we were there, with some good shade options. The water temp in the pool is perfect on a hot day and during calm weather, but can be a bit cold if the wind is blowing. The unit itself is in great condition and looks exactly like the photos. Everything is clean and works. The view is stunning. The kitchen is reasonably well appointed and has a bunch of appliances and I'm told they have updated the pans and cutting boards after we suggested it. The king bed is very comfy and soft by mexican standards. Aircon is all in working order and the unit stays cool until mid afternoon without any aircon. Right before we arrived they upgraded the main TV set, but who needs TV in cozumel?! Clean water & fresh towels are kept stocked up and the maid service every 2 days was excellent and unobtrusive. Cozumel is busier than it used to be and Miramar gives you a quiet place to relax away from the cruise ship crowds, we highly recommend it! Thanks to Matias and his team for a wonderful stay.

Matias originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina came to Cozumel 20 years ago as sales director in the Cruise ship business; Matias is an avid cyclist, runner, and outdoor sports enthusiast and focuses on maintaining balanced mind/spirit practices.Cozumel Seaside Retreats Inc. was founded by Isabella Telloli and it is currently managed by Isabella and her husband Matias Garrido with the precious help of their staff.
An important aspect of Matias and Isabella’s life mission is giving back to their community and world; together they run “Give Back to Cozumel” a nonprofit-humanitarian organization founded to benefit the unprivileged families of the Cozumel’s community. “Of all the places we have been living around the world; we believe that the cozy island of Cozumel, has the perfect balance of, pristine reefs and a safe environment in a beautiful tropical paradise. We find this combination of things very unique in the world. Cozumeleños are warm and friendly people who make you feel at home; for this reason we often refer to cozumel as “the island of kindness”.
