Looking for a romantic retreat with a Viking twist? Then, you'll love our cozy and intimate cabin right by the majestic North Thompson River and in the heart of Wells Gray Country. This secluded spot is perfect for short-term stays and lots of romance. You'll feel like you're in a fairy tale as you cuddle up by the fire pit, listen to the soothing sound of the water, and gaze up at the stars in your sky-view cabin and luxurious queen-size bed fitted with luxury linens. Included is a picnic table, BBQ, Fire-Pit with two Adirondack chairs, and two gravity-free loungers. This cabin is the ultimate destination for couples who want to escape the ordinary and embrace their inner adventurer.

Bluestone Acres is a family-owned and operated farm and agritourism business. Our founders, Kaare and Ron, are as Norse as they come—without the longboats but with all the hospitality. Only second generation Canadian with strong Norwegian lineage, they’ve planted their roots (and some pretty nifty herbs) in this land, honouring the Simpcw First Nations’ traditions and the earth’s natural mojo. We let Nature Lead the Way here. Of the things they take seriously, this one is high up on the list. Enamoured by the Culture and rich history of the Norse Farmers and the 'Viking Code of Ethics, ' our founders are committed to bringing back a simpler yet more connected way of living. When honour meant something, truth was expected, and good hospitality was of the upmost importance. When dialogue with land and Kin was always respected and bravery meant the courage to express freely and defend that right for others. The warrior's way - without the raiding, of course.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
Our property boasts a riverfrontage and is unique as it offers Viking-themed, off-grid luxury cabins and camping. We've combined the raw and pure beauty of nature with the rich opulence of luxurious comforts inside the cabins, just as the Vikings did. There is a 10 min hike down to your cabin/campsite, or we can shuttle you if you have a lot of gear or mobility challenges. We are also a working farm, so we are an agritourism location. We raise bees and chickens, and it looks like cats now, too. There is never a dull day here scenery-wise and the weather never fails to put on a show. It is Valhalla!
