It was a very nice cabin it was just like the pictures showed it was, the owners were fast to get back with us whenever we’d message them, they was a little stray that showed up he was very cute and friendly. Would definitely book again another time

Great cabin

We had such a nice stay at the cabin. So much to do at the cabin along with the area. Only a few minute drive to the beach and hiking. Our kids loved the hot tub and games at the cabin.

Quiet, spacious and fully stocked! This cabin has it all! Beautifully decorated and super clean! Favorite part was the shower in the primary bath! The owner is wonderful and very responsive! Highly recommend for privacy and proximity to Laurel Lake! Thank you Michella!

The cabin was quiet and secluded. As several reviews mentioned, there is a friendly dog that visits, but was not bothersome. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. All the amenities were as stated, including plenty of games. The location is also very convenient to Holly Bay Marina and the spillway beach.

Comfortable and accommodating

We enjoyed our stay at Eagle Pines. The cabin was well equipped and nicely decorated. Plenty of parking and strong Wi-Fi made our time in the evening hanging out with family after a day at the lake in front of the big screen tv enjoyable. Michella is a gracious and attentive host. We look forward to a future stay at Eagle Pines!

Quiet location and very nice facility. Big friendly dog met us and became a frequent visitor. The time there was very enjoyable. We would return to this cabin when we get a chance.

This cabin was close to the lake, it made a good landing pad after a day on the lake. The inside was clean and nice. Not much for kids to do outside. Very private location. The owner was very nice. The issue we had was the water got turned off for a day.

The outside of the cabin was a little rough, but the inside was beautiful and comfortable. Would Not think twice about staying there again.

This was a nice cabin for a family or a bunch of fishing buddies. My young granddaughter loved the toys and games. My teenage grandchildren loved the hot tub. We will definitely rent again

Family vacation

House was very clean and perfect set up for us all. We enjoyed the outside patio and especially the hot tub. We also liked the fenced in yard for our two dogs. There are many dogs (5 different ones that we encountered) that visit the property, all are very friendly but one in particular runs along side of the car whenever we left the property each day. Worried that someday he may get hit. We enjoyed the location of the house as it was quiet and very relaxing.

Home Away from Home!

This place had everything and more. My family enjoyed our stay. It was close to Holly Bay and the swimming spillway. We spent the day at the lake and evenings on the beautiful front porch and in the hot tub. Perfect getaway.

Great location with all the extras!

Has everything we needed for our family. The games and hot tub were a bonus and we all had a great time. We personally enjoyed the loose dogs as there were all very friendly and really bonded with my 8 year old. They do chase when you leave, but just take your time and they stop a short distance up the drive.We were able to get to Cumberland Falls and the Van hook falls and with a little drive did Diamond caverns so this was a good central hub for us.Definitely recommend this cabin!

Wonderful location!

Great location to relax and enjoy nature! The hostess responded quickly to all questions. Many amenities were available on-site that went above and beyond our expectations! We loved that we could walk trails right outside the gate, relax in the hot tub or sit by the inside fireplace or fire pit table on the front porch. There are games available for all ages. We stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful time.

Mothers Day getaway

A wonderful place to relax. My two grown daughters and I came to Kentucky to check out the Moonbow and enjoy each other over the weekend. This is the perfect little cabin for it. Well stocked, clean, lots to do inside and out. We did have our dogs and appreciated the fenced in yard. Central location also perfect. The neighbor dogs are friendly, but it is a bit of a pain to come and go as they block the car looking for treats. We are quite the dog family and love them- but stressed about running them over. Perhaps a different plan for them could be arranged?

Lake time!

We loved the cabin! We chose the property because of the proximity to the lake. It was very close to Holly Bay as stated. The cabin and host exceeded our expectations. The cabin was newly renovated over and above a typical rental. The host touches were very nice and communication was excellent! We Will be back! Terry

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the weather wasn’t ideal during your stay, but unfortunately, that’s beyond our control. However, we do offer a variety of indoor activities to help make rainy days more enjoyable, including board games, cards, peg solitaire pieces, and a TV with Netflix. There’s also a foosball coffee table on a covered deck, which can be enclosed with curtains for added comfort. We hope future guests will consider the amenities we provide for both sunny and rainy days when leaving a review.

As many other reviewers have mentioned, Michella was extremely responsive to communications from us. Even though this was a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) she quickly responded to any issues. Couldn't really ask for quicker responses. The issues that give the rating are that the responses were somewhat hollow. We booked this space to be able to use the hot tub which was non-functional the entire time despite being told that someone would be by to repair. There also is NOT an ice maker at the premises. The countertop unit shown was not truly on premises (apparently a previous renter had damaged it and it hadn't been replaced) and the in freezer unit just growled. The beds and linens were FANTASTIC and especially the master bed was super soft yet supportive and gave us a great nights sleep every night we were there. Even when the power went out, having the blankets and quilts that were provided kept us very warm. When the hot tub was non-functional, we thought we would simply use the wonderfully sized jetted-tub. Unfortunately, though multiple previous renters had mentioned it in the on-site guestbook, the hot water heater could not provide enough hot water to even fill it halfway. When the owner was told this by us (via VRBO mail) she mentioned that they were looking at putting a tankless system to resolve that issue. We certainly hope that the above items get fixed so others will be able to fully enjoy this site.

Love the cabin

Love the cabin. Very clean and has everything you need. Location is good. Easy to get to. Neighbors dogs roam free. They are super sweet. However, Could not take mine out on the trail because they were out. They would also chase and block our vehicles when we would leave. Had to throw treats out for them. And they don’t like motorcycles.
