Property was everything it advertised and more! The host was extremely helpful and responded to messages dang near immediately. Would definitely stay again and recommend!
We had everything we needed at this location. The fireplace was out and Megan replied quickly but had to make an appointment a week out just to have the pilot light re-lighted. The kitchen is stocked with a lot of dishes and cookware.
The space in the house was great however the gas fireplace was not working and the house was very cold making the trip unpleasant. Some minor upgrades (toilet seat in master bathroom and towels) would make the residence more appealing in the future.
We had a wonderful few days at your property. We enjoyed the views from the back deck and the use of the kayaks. The location of the house makes it easy to get to San Juan National Forest for a day of exploring and hiking.
This place was awesome with all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy our trip. We were comfortable and the kitchen and living room are set up where no one was ever in the way. We will come back!
House was absolutely beautiful. Sits right on a lake, exactly as pictured. Perfect size for our group of 10. Was about a 45 minute drive to Wolf Creek to ski. Very close to grocery store and a couple of great restaurants.
This was a wonderful place for our family. Plenty of stuff to do for all the different age groups we had. Caught trout on the lake. Snow sledded in the backyard. Skiing, snowmobiles, sleigh rides all within a short drive. Will definitely stay there again
We enjoyed the beautiful lake front property. The sounds of the geese honking and the dragonflies skimming along the shore line was grand.
We used the kayaks for hours on end.
Location was great! Durango was a forty five minute drive with Mesa Verde another thirty minutes further which provide a nice day trip to see more of Co.
This is a great family house! The kitchen was very well stocked, with dishes, silverware, cookware, appliances and everything a cook could want. The bedrooms were well stocked with extra blankets and pillows. We really enjoyed the kayaks. All the beds were uncomfortable and there were cob webs throughout the house. Otherwise a great getaway!
Nine of stayed 3 nights celebrating our parents 60th anniversary. This lovely home has everything a visitor would want or need. The kitchen is well stocked with all utensils, pots and pan and dishes galore. The lake is right out the back door accessible off the homes private dock. Furniture and bedding are cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed use of two kayaks, cooking in the spacious kitchen and games on the back patio. If I come back to Pagosa with a large group again we will definitely stay here.
Great location - close to town, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Wold Creek is only 25 minutes away.
The home is beautiful and includes all of the amenities that one could want or need while in Pagosa Springs. It is laid out well for large groups. It worked out wonderfully for our group of 2.5 families. The home is decorated nicely and maintained very well.
Stunning view of the lake with resident geese. We interacted with the geese so much that we ended up going to the pet store and getting bird/duck/geese feed for them.
We enjoyed the home so much, we have already made arrangements to rent it next year for Spring Break. We can't wait to get back and have only been home for a week.
Wonderful lakeside property. Would love to visit during the summer. Suggestions: Provide instructions on how to manage the heating system...it was a programmable one but no instructions, one half of the house was freezing and the other hot at night. I felt bad calling for help as the contact we were given had just been released from the hospital. It would have been nice if she had a back up person. Otherwise the house is very comfortable and fairly well stocked. Do bring your own blow dryer.
Will not stay here again. Carpet is horrible. Back deck is beautiful but dust & spiders and webs everywhere, furniture is ripped. Black dust webs near ceiling in entry. Listing says condiments but all were expired or had food debris in them. Owners should stay in their rentals at least a week to see what needs attention. Towels were obviously hung wet and were stiff like sandpaper. We had to wash all towels and dry thoroughly to make them useable. This place could be a wonderful rental if it had some attention given to it.
We had a fantastic stay! The house was absolutely amazing! The large windows looking out onto the lake and the mountains were so beautiful. The house was larger than what we needed and had more amenities than we expected. I could not peel my kids off the lake the entire time we were there. They absolutely loved the kayaks which was a nice extra treat. My son caught almost 30 fish of 4 different varieties (which he released). The outside patio was lovely and we spent most of our time sitting in the gorgeous weather which was such a nice reprieve from the Phoenix heat. We had no problems whatsoever. Deb was so sweet and she stopped by to say hello. We are looking forward to booking our next stay very soon. We have stayed at many VRBOs but this was, by far, our favorite!
We love Pagosa Springs. One of our favorite pastimes is sitting on the deck in the evening and seeing ducks and geese swimming, the fish jumping and hearing the sounds of the lake.
Fishing in the back yard, soaking in the Hot Springs, shopping in old Pagosa Springs or Durango, floating the San Juan or Animus rivers, hiking, biking, all withing easy reach of wonderful restaurants and groceries. How could it be any better?
