Newly Built Cedarpoint Cottage -Cozy and Relaxing on Jessie Lake -Pet Friendly
Relax and enjoy this newly built modern and cozy cabin nestled on the south facing shores of Jessie Lake. Unwind and soak in the tranquility the lake life has to offer in this one level 1250 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin that easily sleeps 9. Enjoy a level walk to the lake with over 100 feet of shoreline. This year round, dog friendly, cabin has a contemporary vibe with modern amenities to elevate your stay.
Jessie Lake is a fun lake to fish in during the summer and winter months, and is home to many species for every angler, such as walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegill, bass, and crappie. Enjoy the tranquil waters with the use of our paddle boat or kayaks or hop into the water by jumping off the end of the dock into the cool, shallow waters, and swimming with a hard sandy bottom.
When not on the waters, enjoy time around the outdoor fire ring nestled near the lake, lounge in the screened in porch, or use the charcoal/gas assist grill on the patio enjoying the view. In the colder months enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling, or skiing. The cabin features a well stocked kitchen with small appliances such as a toaster, crockpot, mixer, and electric skillet. Smart TVâs are located in the living room and master bedroom. Stay connected with WIFI. Up to 2 dogs are allowed.
Our family has made some of the best memories here and we invite you to make your own!
Quick facts about Jessie Lake:
-Lake Size: 1740 acres
-Max Depth: 42 ft
-Average Depth: 22ft
Jessie Lake is a long drainage lake and considered eutrophic. This means the visibility varies throughout the year. Due to the high nutrient content in the water, there may be an occasional seasonal algae bloom.
Jessie is known for good fishing and being a tranquil lake. If peace and quiet is your thing, look no further.
The public boat access is on the southeast side of the lake located off County Rd 134.
Things to do:
Summer
- Boating â Bring your boat, pontoon, and jetskiâs and enjoy the day exploring the water, tubing, or bring a lily pad out to the middle of the lake.
- Paddle Boating and Kayaking â Putt around using the complimentary four person paddle boat or the two kayaks located by the lake.
- Fishing â Jessie Lake is home to quite a few species. To name a few, you can find walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegill, crappie, and bass.
- Swimming â To cool off in the summer, jump off the end of the dock into the shallow waters. There is a hard sandy bottom and it is pretty shallow a ways out into the lake. We recommend staying at least 15 feet away from the reeds to avoid swimmers itch during the warmest months. You can also use a skin barrier such as baby oil or waterproof sunscreen, and shower right after swimming. This only affects some people.
- Campfires â There is a designated space near the lake with Adirondack chairs. Firewood is provided. Make sure to check for local burn restrictions.
- Golfing â Enjoy golfing at Golf on the Edge in Bigfork, or head south to Deer River and grab a tee time at Blueberry Hills Golf Course.
- ATVing â Hop on the Wilderness Trail just a couple miles away near Hayslips. The Wilderness Trail connects multiple communities and the B&B Connection trail. Stop along the way to grab a bite to eat or drink with multiple places to choose from.
- Biking and Hiking â Enjoy the scenery and trails at the Suomi Hills Recreation Area and Scenic State Park.
Winter
- Ice Fishing â No need to go far from the cabin. You can set up your ice house right in front of the cabin.
- Snowmobiling â Hop onto the Talmoon Spur just a couple miles away near Hayslips and connect to the Bowstring Trail and from there branch out to other trails. Check out the trail map here: https://www.marcellsnowdrifters.com/uploads/8/6/2/0/86205214/snowmobile-map-2017-map.pdf
- Cross Country Skiing â Enjoy 2.9 miles of skiing at Scenic State Park near Bigfork. Head to Amen Trails, 4.28 miles of beginner to intermediate trails, located closer to Deer River. 7.46 miles of intermediate to expert are available at Blueberry Hills Cross Country Ski Trails and are groomed for classical and skate skiing, also located near Deer River. Suomi Hills offers 19 miles of trails that are primarily for expert skiiers, but there are short jaunts available for beginner to intermediate. Suomi Hills is located a little south of Marcell.
- Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding/Tubing â Head to Mt. Itasca and grab a day pass and enjoy the winter sports center. Located 37 miles away in Coleraine, just north of Grand Rapids.
