The property was wry conveniently located. House was very well kept. Lots of little details made it very homey and a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend it and will try to stay there when visiting the area!
Check in was super easy. There was a lot of space for my wife and I to space out from our two boys. We were up there for a baseball tournament at the Lumberyard. Lumberyard was a quick 10 minutes away.
Clean, very spacious, and mostly quiet. Communication with the owner was easy. There's a nice deck off the second floor kitchen that's a pleasant place to enjoy the view of the fields and hillside behind the property. The location next to a sizeable, 24-hour gas station may create issues for light sleepers.
The location was in a quiet spot and within walking distance to several restaurants (Dunkin Donuts, Hoboâs 281 Bar & Grill, a pizza place, and two ice cream shops. The Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex is only a short distance away for those who have baseball players and for those looking for some fun, try Shipwreck Golf (has both indoor and outdoor mini golf) which was fun for all ages. The VRBO was located in a very safe neighborhood which allowed me to go for my morning runs without any concerns. This place was the perfect size for our needs. We had a great stay and slept very well. Both my husband and son appreciated the bottles of water and snacks that were left for us. Bob and Mary made it feel like a home away from home. We definitely will request this place again in the future if we are ever in the Cortland area again.
