What an amazing family trip!

Heaven on earth

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was the perfect size for our family. Loved having lots of dishes and containers for leftovers. The grill worked well. We enjoyed the family of deer that passed through with young fawns each day. Since we were there for peace, quiet and nature the off season worked well. There was some noise from maintenance at other houses. But we were out of the house enjoying the Canaan Valley State Park, Blackwater Falls and other trails so not a problem. The beauty of Canaan cannot be overstated it is very special!

It was perfect for our family of 4 plus grandparents that enjoyed watching skiers and snowboarders right from the Living Room. Reviewer Comments: Great house - well appointed - clean and comfortable - helpful rental staff too / The only downside is Timberline resort/ we’ve been coming to this resort for a family ski trip for years / this year it was sad to see how the bankrupt resort owners have turned what was a great winter destination into a mess / I feel bad for the property owners and the resort workers / will only come back if there is a new resort owner

Only complaints are no wood burning fireplace, super low flames on the gas fire, and please change out the bone-white LED lights to a softer yellow. It's like an operating room with that dead white light in every single fixture. But a very nice house, and the rental compnay is fantastic. Killer location.

We had friends stay at two different houses and although we were happy with Snowed Inn, the price we paid seemed high compared to the properties rented by our other friends. The Mrs.Pacman machine was not in writing order, which was disappointing because the kids were looking forward to playing. The location was close to Everything Canaan has to offer, but be careful, the area had no cell service. (On a Verizon 5g plan) t-mobile users had service though.

Comfortable house, met our needs for a long weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited the very end of August and had a nice stay. We were a group with two families meeting up for a mini vacation/reunion. The description of the house was accurate, the house was reasonably clean, beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed so we could make most of our meals. Best of Canaan was very responsive and helpful. There are bigger more luxurious houses in the development but this one is a good value and had everything we needed. The large deck and hot tub were nice features. We would stay here again.

Kitchen was well equipped, we cooked every day . It was easy to find the house and drive to it . Beautiful fall colors ! My only recommendation for this place is that would be nice to have at least the hotel size shampoo / conditioner and body wash . All we found is very body-drying bar soap.

Great rental, below expectations ski resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the cabin. It was clean, comfy and well described on the website. The hot-tub was fantastic and the pac-man game unit was a hit. There's was tons of natural light and the gas fireplace added to the ambiance. Timberline resort has had a very poor season and our only disappointment was how limited the ski resort was with multiple trails closed. We paid a premium for a ski in/ski out experience and were underwhelmed by the slop availability. Over half of the mountain was closed. We would definitely consider booking again but would check the mountain closely before doing so.
