Owl house was built for unplugging, relaxing & connecting with friends/family
The cutest little birdhouse. Our two bedroom birdhouse has 3 adult bunks in one room, and a queen bed in the other making it fun to reconnect with friends or family. Relax at the hot tub that is shared by two Birdhouses and is for renters only. Or play a card game in the cozy living room while bird watching out the picture windows. Turn off the phones and world, just take in nature in a rocking chair. You can drive, hike or bring a bike to travel to the State Park.
The entire house was spotless, the bed was comfy, the shower was relaxing, the hot tub had fantastic jets that helped ease our muscles after a long hike! I appreciated the Blackstone and sizeable (mini) fridge. We sat under the shelter on the patio furniture, eating charcuterie, and listening to the rain fall. An excellent getaway that I've already recommended to friends!
We were staying there because my daughter was getting married at the factory on cherry. The tiny house was perfect and the hot tub was very relaxing. If you need a place to relax and unplug this is the perfect place for you.
Our one night stay was great. There is really, truly no service here so be warned. I didnât think about that when it was time to check in, so I couldnât access the check in door code, so we had to back track to service to check the app for the code. Write this down beforehand I second the other reviews, this place begs for a coffee maker for a nice cup on the porch in the woods! Hot tub was clean, in perfect condition, and the highlight of the stay for us.
We stayed here after a wedding at the country club in Troy. It was so cute! The place was super clean too. Wouldâve love to stay longer. Host was super responsive and let us check in two hours early.
This place is super cute. Itâs really clean and neat. The house is really cool!We enjoyed our stay.Only thing that we didnât like itâs no coffee machine or an any way to make a coffee. And maybe a small outdoor bbq would be great. Thank you!
This was a great little cabin stay to relax and get away. Very very clean. Perfect for two people or a couple littles. Thereâs a double bed in one room and 3 bunks in the other. We used the area under one bunk to store our food and luggage. Bathroom was nice and clean!! Beds are very soft beds and pillows are firm and comfy (thereâs lots of pillows!). We used this as a Motherâs Day getaway for two friends and it was perfect spot to kick back and relax. The community area was nice with a place to eat meals, hang out and a hot tub area to relax in. I took others advice and brought mugs and our own tools to make coffee/tea. Plenty of plates and bowls at the place. We had dish soap and paper towels available but also brought our own. Travel size containers of shampoo/conditioner and body wash available but also brought our own of that. We brought firewood hoping there would be a fire pit but there wasnât. Definitely have room there for one though if thatâs in the plans for the future! Had a great stay. Another note that this is completely unplugged. Very little service and no WiFi. We did travel to CR park nearby and there was service there so we could download some books to our kindles lol.
Overall a great stay. We enjoyed the surroundings, reconnecting without tv etc, and the nice pavilion with hot tub. However, there are a few smaller things I must point outâŠthe insulation & heating combination in this little house is very uneven/seems inadequate. Many of the windows leaked so much cold into the house that they sweat on the inside. Water pressure is dreadful when youâre trying to shower in the cold bathroom, so takes a while to get warmed up. No coffee cups or glass cups, so bring some if youâre not one for microwaving drinks in plastic cups. No coffee maker either, so bring one or instant coffee. Bring an extra roll of paper towels also. There was a small fraction of a roll left for us at check in.
I did not stay the night here. The listing needs to be updated to include that there is no cell phone service. Although it mentions unplugging, that could either mean choosing to unplug or no WiFi. But as a solo female traveller, it was an unpleasant surprise to find no cell phone service or WiFi to even find my check in details or contact the host. Because of this, I seemingly went into the wrong cabin only to find someone else's belongings in it, which felt very unsafe. It should also be mentioned that the VRBO listing mentions a shared hot tub, but the Expedia listing does not mention a shared hot tub.
Because of the lack of details, I chose to stay somewhere safe with phone service as a solo traveller.
