OCEANSIDE Rodanthe — Dean Ave. — Your passion for the surf is rewarded when you survey the ocean views from the top floor of SEPTEMBER SESSIONS and determine that yes, you are exactly where you need to be. This newly built five bedroom/four-full and one-half-bath home offers tranquil sound views as well, inviting you to enjoy the panoramic beauty of the Outer Banks from sunrise to sunset.

A dry-entry carport offers the ease of moving bags and groceries into the house as you begin your stay in this three-level home. Got an electric vehicle? Plug into the charging outlet and be ready to roll. Two outdoor showers are a welcome sight as you return from your daily adventures — whether that’s kitesurfing the Pamlico Sound or surfing the Atlantic Ocean. On the first level, discover two of the home’s bedrooms; a king room and a room with two single bunks that share a full hallway bath. There’s also a media room on this level with a 58” Smart TV to capture your attention, although that attention may be diverted to the six-person hot tub located on the adjoining deck. A media room, with a 65” Smart TV and adjoining deck, is located on the second level, along with two king master bedrooms featuring private ensuite baths. The final bedroom, a king master with ensuite bath is located on the third level. All of the bedrooms feature Smart TVs.

The third and top level is where you’ll find a spacious haven to gather and create lasting memories. It’s open layout seamlessly connects the gleaming kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, dining area, and great room with a 75” Smart TV, fostering togetherness and conversation. Beautiful house, well-appointed with everything you need for your stay. Puzzles, games, books, well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. The stairs are tough with older family members who stay, but we made it work. Super short walk to the beach, and an excellent overall location. We definitely would return.

The house was fabulous - clean, comfortable and close to the beach. It was a great fit for our family of 9. The young adults loved the bunk room space and game room area. The kitchen was well-stocked and it was wonderful having a comfortable home base while seeing the sights in the area. The property manager was very quick to help with some missing remotes and lightbulbs. We would definitely stay here again.

The photos of the property online do not exactly match what we encountered during our stay at this property. The rooms were tidy and for the most part were clean. This house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. We were disappointed that the volleyball court no longer exists on this property. A wooden picnic table now sits among the weeds in the backyard. A broken ping pong table rests under the eaves of the house with some trash littered around it. The kitchen trash can had dried, smelly food particles from previous renters. The kitchen island lights were dusty and had cobwebs between the 2 lights. The wall and ceiling vents were very dirty. During our stay, we were sneezing and had runny noses. After our first evening meal at the house, the smoke detector went off. It continued to make that loud “chirping” noise, off and on, for at least 30 minutes. I called the emergency number contact and they claimed that it was probably a humidity issue. A little after midnight, it went off again. The next morning we called and a new smoke detector was installed by the maintenance company. This property is located next to a marshy grass area and we encountered many mosquito bites during our stay. We were only able to enjoy the deck and hot tub during the day. We enjoyed our beach time, but walking past all the smelly trash cans on the way to beach wasn’t ideal. Needless to say…we won’t be returning.

We’re sorry, however, for the cleanliness and maintenance concerns you encountered during your stay, and we appreciate you bringing those items to our attention. We also want to clarify that the volleyball court was removed from the property and is no longer advertised as an amenity in our current listing. We understand that this may have been disappointing if you were expecting the court based on older information or photos, and we apologize for any confusion. We appreciate your feedback and will share your other concerns with the appropriate teams for review.

A serene getaway!

We had a group of 10 people! The property was as described! We did not understand to order kitchen towel and bath mats prior to stay, however, the property management sent some right away for us. Be aware if you have elderly people the stairs are a little rough especially with the kitchen on the top floor. We put our Omi in the master bedroom on the top floor with the kitchen and that was helpful for her. The beach was close and the chair rentals were awesome! We also had to buy hand soaps and toilet paper for all the bathrooms but we left it there to hopefully start a trend;). We had everything we needed to cook! We would stay here again!
