Great rec room downstairs with something to entertain all ages after skiing. Conveniently close to Powderhorn ski area. The kitchen and eating area worked well for our group of 10.
We booked this property for our family reunion to Powderhorn. This cabin had enough space for our 8 adults and 1 teen. It is only a short ride away from the resort which made getting there right as the lift opened a breeze! There are especially pretty views from all the decks.
We had an amazing time at this property. Nicely furnished in a quiet mountain location. We wIâll be backđ Suggest more lamps and lighting throughout the main level.
It was a wonderful stay with private out of the city relaxation. The deck was perfect for our morning coffee and then in the evening with wine, cheese and friendly conversation. The beds were comfortable and we loved being able to grill dinner each evening and not have to heat up the cabin with the oven. We enjoyed hummingbirds, deer and chipmunks while just hanging around and relaxing. This summer retreat was perfect for privacy but then convenient to Grand Mesa for hiking and kayaking and also heading into Palisade to visit fruit stands and wineries.
We really enjoyed this cabin. Plenty of room and beautiful setting. The only thing that could have been improved on was, the lack of cleaning supplies and trash bags.
Beautiful everything, inside and out. Our stay was in July, but don't discount it as ski resort location. We rented canoes at Mesa Lakes Lodge, plenty of fishing sites and hiking trails. we plan to return!
We had a great time and enjoyed the home and the Decks to sit out on. We got to see Moose and even a bear visited us a couple of nights. :)) If your not a early bird don't stay in the upper balcony beds. The morning sun beams thru the windows. :)) The internet was not working but we used our data, no trouble with our cell service! Will definitely book again if we come back to Grand Mesa area!
The cabin and setting were BEAUTIFUL and was almost perfect for our family gathering!
The ONLY thing we didnât like about this rental was that the description/amenities were incorrect (thus 4 stars instead of 5). There is NO wi-fi and it is most definitely NOT ski-in/ski-out as described. Neither was a major problem but WAS one of the reasons we chose this rental. That being said, you will not be disappointed with your stay! The cabin had everything you could possibly need (except a lot of garbage bags), was clean and had a very well-stocked kitchen - including a crockpot. Itâs an incredible setting and we will definitely be back again for another family adventure!
First of all, our trip plans totally fell through. We went to Colorado to watch our son's collegiate mountain bike race. We also though we might be hosting for a night a couple of members of our Colorado family. The race was cancelled and said family chose not to come after all so we ended up being three people in this very spacious cabin which would have been ideal for the group we might have had. The cabin is very attractively furnished and decorated and is ideally situated to enjoy the Grand Mesa. We did a lot of hiking and enjoyed the bright yellow of the aspens. I think it would be a great ski cabin as well during the winter. The pool table, foosball table, and pinball machine are great entertainment. The kitchen is fairly well equipped for a rental and the outside grill, dining table, and disco ball (!) are fun during sunny weather. I would definitely consider this rental again should we re-visit the Grand Mesa.
Rick and I love the outdoors and our little "cabin in the woods" provides all the comforts of home. Grand Mesa has over 200 lakes and is the playground of the Western Slope from skiing, to Mt. Biking, hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, four wheeling, fishing, snowmobiling, horseback riding and so, so much more!
