I simply can't say enough good things about this house, property and the folks that take care of you The beach is lovely--very rustic with few people and no restaurants. The food cooked by Azu is some of the best I've ever had in mexico. Santiago is an absolute gem. If you don't rent a car, be prepared for somewhat of an expensive cab trip into town. We can't wait to go back.
This stay was our dream come true. Amazing rooms, pool, and beach. No crowds, peaceful. Santiago and Celia were present at all times to service your every need. The food was amazing and copious - we never left!
We have stayed in this villa with our 3 kids for 10 days and I must say it was one of the best experiences we had (and we had quite a lot). Of course the best here is the beach - itâs completely unspoiled piece of nature, itâs so calm, peaceful and beautiful, that itâs impossible to leave. Secondly the warm welcome from the host and from Santiago and Flor are adding so much to the experience, the food is so delicious and nothing is a problem for them. The best moment of our stay was when a big turtle came from the sea just in front of our villa and laid the eggs just there. Also the next day we had a great experience to release the 60 baby turtles to the sea together with the neighbors. We alreay miss this place :-)
From the moment you arrive, until you must leave, Casa Mica makes that world you left behind seem far far away. Santiago, and his family see after your every need. They make you feel like you have known each other for years, and make it a place you want to return to time, and time again. Playa Cumana is like your own private beach on the Pacific Ocean. You owe yourself a stay at Casa Mica, a place you will dream of long after you leave.
At the edge of the civilized world is a beautiful place with an empty beach and a gentle staff who will attend to your spirit and your appetite until all your cares are (literally) thousands of miles away. If any troubles still remain, the ocean will wash them away.
The property is attractive, quiet and peaceful â shops and restaurants are distant. Host is (off-site but) very responsive. Natural beauty abounds, shooting stars are common, internet is spotty, mosquitoes are present at sunset. Weather is nice and toasty year-around.
Beginning to end. Our experience at Casa Mica was perfection. Lorenza made everything from our arrival to our excursions and our stay - even our departure seamless. Flor and Santiago were amazing, hospitable and kind. The service and the food was outstanding. Truly. We ate in town once during our stay and were looking forward to it for the sake of change. But in the end, we were much happier returning to Casa Mica and to Florâs cooking at âhomeâ.
Casa Mica is exactly as described and pictured. Itâs about 20 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from town. We are an adventurous family and usually plan activities every day during our trips. However, upon our arrival we quickly sunk into the vibes at Casa Mica of relaxation and tranquility and spent most of our days playing card games in open air living room, reading in the hammocks, swimming in the pool, and playing and exploring on the beach.
Our 6 year old also loved Casa Mica and all of Florâs meals (especially her French toast, chicken taquitos and ceviche). If youâre looking at Casa Mica for a peaceful escape and fun in the sun...donât hesitate. You will love it.
Wonderful stay at Casa Mica. Food was excellent, highly recommend it. The beach in front was unbelievably beautiful. Thank you Lorenza for all your help.
Everything about this house is fantastic. I canât day enough good things about it.
The chef, Floricida was phenomenal. The food was outstanding. Santiago made the best margaritas!
And Lorenza helped us out immensely. She booked us airport pick ups and arranged two tours from the house.
The home was exactly as represented and the full time staff was exceptionally attentive and flexible. Theyâre worth every penny and saved us so much money per day to have them cook out meals for us. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet. Great location about 25 minutes from Puerto. Close enough to enjoy the vibe of the beach town but quiet and removed for a getaway. The house has plenty of room for many family members. Would love to return soon!
10 days in paradise! Beautiful, private & relaxing...
Our stay at Casa Mica was everything we hoped for and more. Lorenza was very helpful and responsive with all my questions before hand as well as throughout our stay (always quick and friendly responses via text message).
Florâs cooking was amazing (the best Huevos Rancheros ever, and the âFrench Toastâ is a must!) and Romelio was always so helpful and responsive to any requests (serving the food, snacks, mixing drinks etc.).
Everything looks as great as the pictures show, pool is perfect, plenty of lounging around room, and right on a huge natural, clean beach that stretches for miles in each direction. We saw dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water right in front of us almost every day, as well as a couple of whale sightings in the distance.
Beautiful, private, & relaxing are the 3 words that best sum up our stay at Casa Mica!
I spent a lot of time researching a beach vacation for my family to take after visiting Oaxaca City...a LOT of time. There's a reason why Casa Mica has a flawless rating. Lorenza was thoroughly attentive to answering not only my initial questions but throughout the time leading up to our stay. She also helped with our menu planning and arranging transportation to and from the airport. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Now for house....one word: AMAZING. It was exactly as described and everything we wanted. The staff was very kind and attentive. Flor's food was soooo delicious - better and fresher than the best restaurants we ate at in Oaxaca City. And Rommel was always attentive to making sure we had everything we needed and made fantastic margaritas and pina coladas. I can't say enough great things about Casa Mica. A truly special and relaxing vacation.
Where to start it is a problem! This is a beautiful location in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The house is located in a private community outside the town, about 15 minutesâ drive from downtown. There are no private beach in Mexico, but this is the closest you can get as it is away from downtown and as a consequence not many people around.
The service and location are 5 Stars, for our group size the service was one cooker, and two helpers. They did everything for us, we only touched the kitchen when asked for something. From cooking all the meals, to serve a very good Pina Coladas! My daughter is Celiac and we talked to the cooker when arrived, and she prepared everything for her, and no incidents in our stay.
Our menus where selected in advance, we made a change in in the middle of the vacation as there was a lot of food, and we changed the dinner for our lunch, in order to process all the food served. The shrimp taquitos were amazing, and the natural orange juice for breakfast is a must.
The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms in very good shape. They have fan ceilings, and as I am snow bird I use a portable fan (provided by them) when got hotter. I was really worry for not having air conditioning, but it was not an issue for us.
I will come back, it is not a phrase it is a commitment.
This place is simply stunning not only the house and the location but most specially the people who owns/runs and work at this place. Lorenza is the best owner you could ever have, she's very thorough, caring, understanding, organized and very helpful. She emailed me a week before our arrival to discuss the menu options and since we were at a state swim meet the week before it was very difficult for me to think and make a decision because to be honest everything sounds delicious so I was confused but I think it's a pretty neat and awesome problem to have.:) Lorenza helped me make a decision by recommending foods that she thinks would suit our taste/diet. Now moving on to the house, it was magical... the photos doesn't do it justice... it was quiet, private, relaxing and all you can see is endless water and dolphins swimming so close to the shore!!! Don't let me start with the food because I over ate and gained a couple of pounds because Flor the chef, cooks food that you just can't stop eating and Rommel the butler makes the best frozen margarita with mazcal!!! I could go on raving about this vacation home but I'm afraid I might start crying because I would die to go back at Casa Mica right now!!đđ”đđŽđłđźđ€đThank you Casa Mica for taking care of us!! You guys are the best and you gave us a full service straight from the heart!â€ïžđđđđđAMAZING!!!
Staying at Casa Mica was one of the best experiences ever! The view, the service, the house, everything was incredible. The house was amazing, it was breath taking. Waking up to the most beautiful view, and the best service is the true meaning of a relaxing vacation.
