Originally built in 1857 and once considered for a museum setting by local preservationist Mills B Lane, this tabby constructed home is celebrated as one of Savannah’s premier hidden jewels.

Strategically nestled in the heart of the Historic District’s ‘Colonial Quadrant’ and occupying one of the area’s largest lots, The Elizabeth Heery House offers guests the luxury of a 6'+ deep heated Swimming Pool, enveloped by 7'+ ivy-covered walls.

What is parking like for this home?
Guests will have access to two private tandem parking spaces directly behind the home. Additional free parking can be located on Price Street, directly outside of the front door. Metered parking is located on East Bryan Street, at the cross street of Price.

We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. Beautiful property and excellent location!

This house was even more beautiful in person than the pictures. The neighborhood was quiet and the location made it so we could walk to restaurants, shopping, and night life. The pool was our favorite part and made it an especially relaxing and fun trip to spend majority of our days outside. Also, the hosts provided us restaurant and other recommendations ahead of our stay, and quickly replied to our emails with questions. Our group has already recommended this home to others and we already want to come back!

Beautiful historic home in a great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay in the Elizabeth Heery House! It is absolutely beautiful with stunning decorations and finishing. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location can’t be beat! We were able to walk to restaurants and shops, and felt very safe the entire time. The private pool was perfect and a great size for a downtown house. If you’re looking for a historic Savannah feel with all of the updates, this is it! When we make it back to Savannah we won’t hesitate to stay there again!

Downtown Savanna Hideaway

Everything was peerless, from start to finish. The registration process, communications with the property company, the site itself, just perfect. We had planned to stay either in a smaller bed-and-breakfast or in a hotel. My spouse wanted a pool. I wanted convenience to the waterfront. This fit the bill. Ironically, the weather was only in the 60s when there (we went in October) so I only went in the pool once, in order to prove that I did. :-) The property's proximity to the waterfront was as valuable as the privacy the place afforded. It was a surprising mix of a neighborhood quiet and commercial convenience. Parking was simple. Moving around town from the location was easy. Leaving the car behind was just as easy. The owners taste is impeccable. The home was quiet, in spite of its proximity to main thoroughfares. Parks of course are everywhere. Proximity to the art college allowed us to browse a number of shops with eclectic taste. Some of course were typically Bohemian; others a bit Gothic; I ended up buying a book from a Catholic shop whose subject was "drinking with the saints." The price of the home was at the expensive end for us but we partly defrayed this cost by driving from Pittsburgh to Savannah in about 10 hours. (It would've taken us seven hours with connecting flights to get there, not considering the time from the airport to the home.) We decided to spend the money on a better place and not on an airplane. We will make this decision again.

This house is fabulous from the outside architecture to the inside and should be featured in a magazine. We loved all the upscale amenities combined with the urban elements. We were able to walk everywhere and would recommend it over and over again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriends and I spent three nights in The Elizabeth Heery House and everything was fantastic from start to finish. Lucky Savannah made check-in and check-out a seamless transaction and were very communicative through the whole process. Now on to the house- IT’S BEAUTIFUL. The house is well finished and feels like a home. We noticed the pool was cleaned almost daily and the area is well secluded from the neighbors, making it our own oasis. The house is also conveniently located close to everything downtown.I would rent this location again in a heartbeat!
