We stayed here last year and loved it so much we returned! The house is clean and cozy in a beautiful location. The hosts are so kind and attentive, and provide everything you could need for a wonderful lake trip.

This home is absolutely perfect! The size is perfect for 4 people. Our kids absolutely loved the splash pad and the boats. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Staying here we were able to visit many different towns with just a 20-30min drive. We can’t say enough how much we loved it here. The house is well stocked with towels, blankets, things you may need in the kitchen and outdoor gear. Highly recommend!! Don’t wait, just book it!

Exactly what we were looking for!

My sister and I needed a cozy lake house for a girls trip, and this was the perfect place! Impeccably clean, beautiful and picturesque location, great owners who communicated well. The house had absolutely everything we needed and was so comfortable. We hope to return next spring!

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

Exactly as pictured! Perfect for a trip into Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes if you feel like leaving the lake. Host was communicative and accommodating. Would love to come back!

This was the perfect size for the two of us. It had everything that you would need. Even the kitchen was stocked with coffee/filters and spices which we normally don't see at other VRBO's that we've rented recently. And for those women over 60...there's a magnifying mirror....you know what I'm talking about. :)It was so peaceful and hearing the Loons in the morning was awesome. The walk around the Birchview Trail loop and/or Riverdale Lane is enjoyable with nice views, beautiful homes and hills. The Lake Ann Brewery downtown was awesome with music and the people are so nice. The pizza at the Stone Oven next door to the Brewery was delicious. Rove winery was great too for an afternoon outing and not far away after having a flight of wine. Don't pass this location up. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely stay on Lake Ann

My daughter and I had a fabulous stay at Karen's cottage! The home was immaculate and so well appointed. The view is absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful! Karen was lovely to work with and was available to answer any questions I had! As someone who owns several rental homes, I can honestly say that this is one of the best properties I've stayed in. I highly recommend booking your stay at this beautiful cottage!

Spectacular views, pristine amenities and quick communication! Family of 4 stayed for 5 nights and had a fantastic time. The owners clearly thought of everything one could need while on vacation including bath & lake towels, dish & laundry detergent, spices, floating devices and even DVDs and board games! I asked if they had fans, as we're "white noise" sleepers and Karen had a sound machine waiting. She also asked my kids' life jacket sizes. The water was surprisingly warm and clear; safe for swimming. It's also shallow, making entering a kayak easy! I thought the place was immaculate and would 100% stay here again! The only complaint that any of us had, was that my kids said the twin beds were a bit hard. The queen was very comfortable, though. Thanks for sharing your home!

We do try to anticipate our guests' needs ahead of time and do our best to provide more than just the basic necessities. I'm glad you found the queen bed comfortable, but beds can be tricky when choosing for other people. There are SO many options out there! The twin beds have always had foam mattress toppers for increased comfort, and they seem to do the trick most of the time! Your family was a pleasure to host - come back anytime.

Hidden GEM!

What a beautiful property! It was sparkling clean, and fully stocked with everything you could need. Situated with a private yard leading to Lake Ann, this clearly loved little house is the perfect Michigan getaway! Perfect size for a couple, and I HIGHLY recommend. The owners have clearly put a lot of love and thought into this home and communication was very clear. Don’t miss out on this one!

Great Find On Lake Ann

Such a lovely little cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked for our week-long stay. It’s clear that Karen and Steve put so much thought into making everything as comfortable for guests and the communication with them was exceptional. They provided many amenities (kitchen supplies, water toys and gear, towels, etc) and the location was quiet and beautiful. Our only challenge was that our speed boat with an in-board motor wasn’t able to dock because of shallow water. Others might not have that issue and Karen provided details of the how deep the water was before we arrived. Highly recommend if looking for a small cottage.

I know that not being able to dock your boat was disappointing - it certainly made loading and unloading boaters a bit challenging! Generally most boats have no issues docking at our place - the water is plenty deep to accommodate fishing boats and pontoon boats with outboard motors. We welcome you back anytime - we enjoyed meeting you and your family.

The house is beautiful and well stocked for visitors. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable for four people. The location is excellent - on a beautiful, quiet lake, halfway between Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. Karen, the host, is really focused on giving her guests an outstanding experience and offers the perfect balance of privacy and excellent communication. This is the best rental experience overall we have ever had. We would definitely stay here again.

My son and I rented the Lake Ann house for a week long fishing trip. The fishing was great, and the house was wonderful—comfortable, clean, and with modern amenities. The host was also great, attentive to us but also 100% respecting our privacy. I highly recommend this house — five stars in all ways!
