Lakeview house with old Florida feel close to everything fun in Central Florida
Spend your nights under a 400-year-old live oak in a recently renovated 57' era lakeview bungalow with a great "Old Florida feel"! This amazing property is a 3/2, 2100 sq ft home on a half-acre with views and direct Lake access to Big Lake Harris featuring a 50ft Floating Dock, and a covered RV carport complete with a power hook-up. Convenient location with 3 major restaurants in walking distance. Publix and at least a dozen other dining and entertainment options are a 5-minute drive. Attractions and The Villages are just 20-30 minutes away.
This was our second consecutive year staying at this lovely home in Leesburg, nearby our dadâs home and close to many restaurant options shopping. We love the homeâs amenities and the game room canât be beat. Thanks for another perfect place to spend the weekend.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this property. The home is very clean and the we were supplied everything that was needed. The house is right across from the lake and the enormous grand oak trees were breathtaking. This VRBO is on top of my list to stay again.
My Family and I had an amazing and fun time at the Lakeview House! The game room had something for everyone. The entire home was extremely clean and very comfortable with plenty of room and seating. Check in and out was very easy. I would recommend staying here to anyone!
Our stay at Bob and Melanieâs Wilderness Cabin and the Lake House was fantastic! The sunset water views were beautiful and the cabin provided everything we needed to be comfortable. It had a rustic Disney theme and was super clean! The Lakehouse was spacious and we had fun playing ping pong, pool and darts. We definitely will be back!
A wonderful place to stay. The house is roomy, with lots of spaces to sit and socialize. And the game room was a huge bonus. Our group spent many fun hours there.
What a great place for our family to stay while visiting for Grandpa's birthday celebration weekend. We loved the ample indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to spread out, and the game room was a huge hit. The home is well-appointed and very comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Such a beautiful home! Carol and bob were great hosts. The game room was a hit for us and the kiddos, lots of fun and very cozy! Outside was absolutely beautiful, the oak trees & the path down to the chairs by the water, such a beautiful experience! I only wish we had more time there!
I was blown away when I turned off the multi-lane commercialized mess of 441 onto the street leading to the house, and was suddenly enveloped by the calm and quiet. An Olive Garden at the end of the road, and no inkling it would be there at the house! The house was super roomy, yet with enough interior doors you could close areas off if necessary. It was cool and welcoming - an old Florida house with nice updates. Enjoyed staying here! One note: if staying with dogs, there are two large dogs in the house at the end of the road. They seem friendly enough, but I (and my dogs) met up with them when their owners were present - it would've been startling to have them greet us if there was just me and my dogs.
We had an absolutely perfect stay during Christmas! The home is very spacious and was super comfortable for our family. Three couples a toddler and a collie. The host thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable. He even offered to put up a Christmas tree for us before we got there, which we happily accepted! We mentioned hoping to use the fire pit and Bob actually made sure we had firewood! Thereâs a pool table, ping pong table and even a box of toys for little ones. We were there to visit other family for the holidays so unfortunately we didnât get a chance to take advantage of all of the amenities at this house but we will stay here the next time we come back, itâs such a fun house. Thereâs a pretty lake view, a large yard and even an RV hook up. The location is perfect, not far from historic downtown Leesburg, walking distance to a few restaurants, minutes from a mall and grocery stores, and less than 30 minutes to beautiful Mount Dora. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and the house was very clean. Our bedroom didnât seem to get a lot of heat (Iâm always cold) but there were extra blankets in the linen closet and they were super comfy. The house is a little dated but itâs so clean and spacious it was a non issue for us. The host was extremely responsive throughout all communications before and during our stay. I think he lives in this lake neighborhood, my husband, brother-in-law and sister met him and said he couldnât be nicer!. Highly recommend!
Great location for fishing a bass tournament on Lake Griffin!
This property was conveniently located 5 miles from the Herlong Park boat ramp. It's just off Hwy 441, close to restaurants and shops but it feels like a secluded hideaway. There was parking for two boat trailers. The house was spacious, comfortable and well laid out. Everything you needed was provided - even coffee! We enjoyed our short stay!
