This apartment is the nicest property we've rented. It is beautifully decorated and thoroughly equipped. It's evident that Laura put her heart and soul into bringing this building to life.
We enjoyed a relaxing three night stay in this lovely town. Parking is convenient and the shops, restaurants and the river are all within walking distance.
So do yourself a favor and book a stay in this beautiful apartment in the heart of France.
The renovation of the house has been a rewarding experience. The house was left to ruin and she is now back to life and an integral part of Rue Ste Catherine. We have kept as many of the original interior features as possible. It was a 5 year project we undertook ourselves and a rewarding one to bring this building back to life. This apartment being at the top of the building features exposed original roof beams throughout. Also during works we found medieval carved wall beams, now a feature in the bedroom wall. Velux windows make this apartment very light and airy with views of the village rooftops, the church and surrounding hillsides. We hope you enjoy the experience of living in a medieval village in a 15th century house with all the modern comforts and conveniences.
The colombage facade stands out boldy above the cobblestone lane. She sits comfortably amongst the stone facades of her neighbours. The wood carved window surrounds on the first floor date to the 15th century and are a rare example as most preserved ones are of stone. Each level of the house was built in a different era as we saw in the construction methods during the renovation. It is a little piece of history in a picturesque village.
