The host was wonderful and answered our questions promptly. The appartment was cosy, clean and as advertised. The only reason I am not giving it a 5-star review is because of the noise from the neighbouring nightclub. Great place to stay if you are looking for a decent place near the universities and a bunch of amenities at walking distance, but I definitely recommend earplugs to sleep.

BED BUGS. This property had issues with bed bugs in July and August 2026 (from other renters' commentary). The bed bugs are still here in October. We were not informed of the bed bug issue so we could not decide whether it was a risk we were willing to take (it was not). They mentioned they had a green light from the exterminator, but bed bugs are notoriously hard to get rid of. It was irresponsible not to share the information prior to our arrival.Over the last 2 nights I got bit over 200 times. Because I wasn't aware of the issue I risked spreading bed bugs to places I visited during the day. Avoiding bringing bed bugs home is causing us an undue amount of money and stress. I had to cancel social commitments and throw out some of my belongings. I don't know yet if all our efforts were successful so the stress won't end for another few weeks. To be fair, the host called me shortly after I let them know. They apologized profusely and refunded the full stay. I also contacted VRBO and they are refunding the platform fee.OTHER ISSUES: The entrance and corridor is dirty. The floor inside the apartment is dusty and has not been mopped in a while. There are stains on the towels and linens. A few other things function poorly (tv, toaster, bathroom sink). The washer and dryer are on the same floor but not in the apartment.All this would be bearable if it weren't for the BED BUGS.

Terrible stay…BED BUGSI would absolutely never stay at this property again. Our experience was horrific. Myself and both of my daughters were badly bitten by bed bugs during our stay. The bites were extremely itchy and continued to affect us for days.We spent the remainder of our family trip anxious and terrified that we had brought bed bugs home. After returning, I had to take time off work to thoroughly clean and steam-treat our belongings. We ultimately had to throw away and replace luggage and other personal belongings, and I purchased specialized steam-cleaning equipment costing approximately 200.To be fair, when I contacted the property manager, she acknowledged what happened, apologized, took responsibility, and ultimately provided a full refund. I appreciate that response, but the refund did not come close to covering the additional expenses, lost work time, belongings, and enormous stress this caused my family.What concerns me most is what I discovered afterward: I found an Airbnb review from another guest reporting a bed bug incident at this same property in July, only weeks before our stay at the end of August. This raises serious questions about whether the previous problem was properly resolved and whether the property was adequately inspected and treated before we arrived.I am sharing this so future guests can make an informed decision. Three members of my family were bitten, and the physical, emotional and financial impact continued long after checkout.

Clean apartment located in a busy nightlife district. Lots of amenities in apartment. 60 steep steps with narrow hallway leading to apartment. Parking was off-site in a lot...we loaded and unloaded on st Joseph and parked a 5 minute walk. Great place for people who are fit and like to explore the city. We walked everywhere and enjoyed getting to explore old Quebec within a 30 minute walk.

It was nice but not an executive suite as advertised. 2 bedrooms in the basement level. It worked just fine and we were happy there.

A cute, well-equipped apartment in a lively part of Quebec

We found the apartment to be cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was ideal for 3-4 adults. The two steep flights of stairs to the apartment would be difficult for those with mobility issues. The area is full of bars, restaurants and shops, with an excellent bakery just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place with excellent stores nearby

We had a great place to stay with two bedrooms. They weren't the biggest but they were private. There was a restaurant right below us and tended to be noisy into the night. Please know that there are two flights of small steep stairs to use to access the apartment so it wouldn't work for mobility challenged people.

Good property with Parking challenge

All in all, our stay was good - however if you have small kids or large luggages, parking could pose a challenge (street parking is limited and paid parking is 5 mins walk). Homeowner is very responsive and apartment is good, however just be careful with parking challenges.

Never ending tiny dangerous stairs, the staircase was incredibly narrow. you gotta pay for the parking which both of these things weren’t said previously. Mold in the floor, stains everywhere on the sheets. The water from the shower was leaking everywhere on the floor trough the door. There were dishes to cook, a laundry room and WiFi so that was great

Bon sejour

Appartement bien placé et spacieux pour 4 personnes. Conforme à l'annonce et aux photos. Le samedi soir le bar qui est en dessous de l'appartement est assez bruyant. Escalier très raide. Stationnement payant dans la rue en bas mais gratuit dans les rues parallèles, attention à bien regarder les paniers.

The stairs need to be mentioned in the description… countertops needed to be wiped down… no paper towels or other cleaning supplies provided… couch is very uncomfortable… and it was mentioned in the description about the noise from downstairs but it was very loud on Saturday night until 3a.m… if we were younger maybe we would have joined in but those days are past us
