We had a wonderful time staying in this very clean and spacious home. The hostess thought of everything to make our stay there great. If you love to quilt and youâre planning a trip to Missouri Star Quilt, this is the perfect place to stay.
Myself, my daughter, and a friend stayed here while visiting and attending a retreat at Missouri Star. The property was perfect for us to work on our quilt projects together. The sewing stations were roomy yet close enough for conservation. We are already thinking about next year:)
We had good stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen had everything needed. We enjoyed the coffee and snacks. The only thing that we thought might be good would be a screen door to allow fresh air in without the flies. An air freshener would aldo be nice as the house was quite stuffy when we arrivedOne other thing would be a light at the front door for visibility when arriving in the evening it was hard to see the door code.
We rented this property for a sister quilting retreat and shopping trip in Quilt Town. This newly renovated property is close to the shops on Main Street. The house has an excellent quilting set-up with 3 adjustable spacious tables, design walls, iron/ironing board and plenty of outlets. Other over-the-top amenities in the kitchen include a fully stocked coffee bar, filtered water in the new, clean fridge, everything you need (except for the food of course) to cook your own meals, 2 full bathrooms, perfect water temperature and pressure in the showers, and comfortable beds. I canât say enough goods things about this rental and look forward to our next stay.
I can't say enough good about our stay at Jo's Place!! The house was perfect in every way! It was immaculately clean and offered everything needed for our stay. The extra touches showed how much they cared about serving their customers. Welcome treats and personal care items were very thoughtful. The house offers great lighting and sewing stations!! I look forward to staying here again and will plan my visit to Hamilton around the availability of Jo's Place.
We had everything we needed for our trip to Quilt Town! If we had been sewing, the set up is phenomonal! We had 4 people so we didnât need the sofa bed but you could sleep 6! The kitchen was really well stocked too. We can highly recommend.
Location was a good proximity to MSQC / downtown Hamilton. You really need a car because of rural road conditions and no sidewalks, but you could walk - if you were not carrying a lot back. We always had bags of stuff. . The house was great size for three quilters with sewing stuff, and we made the four space work with no problems.
Everything has been updated! Gorgeous kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Beautiful bathrooms with rain head showers. 2 car garage a bonus. It did not rain while we were there but loading and unloading in the garage if it had would have been much appreciated. Blocks from town. Plenty of utensils and dishes in the kitchen and lots of bonus toiletries in bathroom in case you have forgotten anything. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time and the accommodations were perfect! Lots of room and the individual quilting stations were so awesome. We got to shop all day and quilt into the evening. Totally recommend staying here!
This home is great! It was clean and well stocked. The location is quiet an peaceful. Overall it was a perfect place to stay. Miranda is so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful weekend! Would love to come back and explore the area more when we have time.
We chose this property for both the location and also for the space to use for a mini quilt retreat - it was absolutely perfect! Nice and close to MSQC but also close to other towns and Kansas City.
The adjustable tables were excellent and the design walls were a bonus! House was clean, beds were very comfortable and the host was great to deal with!
Will definitely recommend this house to others!!
This was a wonderful place to stay for our girls trip/sewing retreat! It was a lovely home, exceptionally clean, and included some very nice touches! Miranda left bottles of water and snacks for our arrival. While we did not cook during our stay, the kitchen appeared well equipped. The coffee makers and toaster were all we needed for breakfasts. The location of this home is perfect for anyone interested in visiting all the local shops! When arriving, we were a little surprised by how tucked away it was. The street was more like an alley than a street. However, the accommodations were well worth it!The best part of this place was the incredible sewing stations! We all wished we had a space like that! We had plenty of room to spread out our projects and work at the same time. It truly was amazing! The only glitch of our stay was the internet was down. This was a service provider issue not a home owner issue. In fact, most of the town, including businesses, had been without internet at some point during that week. No internet was not a problem for us other than our cell phones did not have great reception. Miranda personally came to the house to apologize even though it was not within her control. That was really sweet! We would definitely stay here again!
We were so impressed by the comfort and style of this home. I especially loved the sewing station set up; so roomy and well lit! I highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay (and sew!) that's so close to Quilt Town USA shops. Loved being able to cook own our own meals whenever we like, too.
The view from the front deck is a serene pastoral scene, so very relaxing. The owner is very attentive, too, we lacked for nothing. :)
Came to town for my mom and Iâs first visit to MO Quilt Star.
Beds comfy. TVs in both bedrooms. Living room nicely set up and comfy. Both showers are great and walk in accessible. Nice front patio with accessible ramp. Kitchen fully stocked for cooking and dining. Nice variety of K-cups provided but we also brought out own. Other random goodies provided too within the kitchen & bathrooms.
Quilters will love the nice âworkâ room with adjustable tables, lights and quilt walls. Tables are easy to move around to make a big area to work. Bring your sewing machines and/or cutting tools.
Quite spot a few blocks away from Main Street area. need vehicle to get around.
Would recommend to others and rent again if we return to the area.
We LOVED your place! The amenities were super...you thought of everything. The neighborhood was quite and serene. I love to cook, so I have a couple of suggestions to make cooking easier...add rubber spatulas, vegetable peeler, and a 9-10 inch skillet. The quilting room was so wonderful. We enjoyed working together. Would suggest the twin mattresses be flipped occasionally as one side leans towards the floor. The ice cube trays were missing. The smaller bathroom shower floor was slippery. We will be back!
House was really clean and freshly renovated. Like staying in a brand new house. So close to MSQC. Great sewing space. Loved having 2 bathrooms. Would stay here again for sure!!
I am born and raised in a small town about 30 minutes from Hamilton, MO. We currently live in another small town outside of Hamilton approximately 20 min away. Small town living is our jam! I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family.
This home belonged to my husband's eccentric grandmother, Grandma Jo. A woman of daily naps, loved feline friends, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind! When family was unable to care for this home after her she went on to be with The Lord, we couldn't let it leave the family, though we didn't want to leave our current home. So with a little TLC, Jo's Patch has become a place were we welcome many. Outpouring our love for others in every detail. Hopefully we represent the kind of generosity JoAnn provided to others.
This home provides you all the luxuries of home with quilting retreat spaces! Jo's Patch was born through my desire to make a handicap accessible home for all individuals to enjoy the beautiful shops of downtown Hamilton, Mo. This home also offers 3 sewing spaces with height adjustable tables, chairs, gallery lighting, quilt design walls, and 4 outlets at each table. This home is for the quilters, while offering everything a family would enjoy while visiting local sites or family.
