The Cottage was a very nice stay. It is an old house but very well maintained. It has some modern touches but the charm of the era of the house is still there! It was perfect for our stay!

The property was on a residential street that makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood. Inside, everything was tidy, modern, and updated. This place is perfect for a family of 4/5 or two couples to stay while exploring everything that Pekin, Peoria, and Bloomington/Normal have to offer.

The kitchen was fully equipped. We only stayed one night, but for a longer stay you can easily cook at this home. The beds were very comfortable which is huge to me! The home was very clean when we arrived.

The stay was great, clean and inviting, plenty of space, comfortable beds, the kitchen was well stocked with items I needed. I had forgotten my crock pot but was able to use the one onsite which was totally awesome! All of the appliance seemed new and were easy to use. I would absolutely stay again! The host were very communicative and checked in on us, which was very nice of them!

Wedding weekend

I enjoyed my stay. I would have like it more if i could park in the driveway instead of the street. It is clean and the bed was comfortable.

The house itself was clean, cozy, and comfortable. However, I was disappointed with how a real estate showing was handled during my stay.I was notified the day of the showing that the host is selling the property and that people would be coming to view the home. Although I was told I could remain in the house during the showing, I work remotely, so having a real estate agent and potential buyers walking through the property while I was working was not appropriate or comfortable. I feel this should have been disclosed before I booked the property, especially since I was paying for private use of the home during my stay. What concerned me even more was that when I returned after the showing, the door had been left unlocked. Thankfully, nothing appeared to be missing, but knowing the house was left unlocked after strangers had been inside was extremely concerning. Anyone could have entered the property while my belongings were there. The host did provide a 58 refund on a stay that cost approximately 300, which I appreciate, but considering the inconvenience, lack of advance notice, interruption to my workday, and the security concern of the door being left unlocked, I did not feel that adequately addressed the situation. The home itself was nice, but I believe guests should be informed before booking if the property is actively being shown for sale, and scheduled showings should not interfere without prior disclosure

Kitchen had everything needed, the Keurig didn't work but knowing Pekin water I am not surprised. Laundry was fine but a brighter bulb would help old eyes.

Lovely Property!

Enjoyed our five night stay very much! Comfortable, clean and nice amenities. All appliances were extra nice and new. The only thing I would recommend is more living room seating other than just the couch and lamp table. A coffee table would be nice too but we were able to use kitchen chairs. I will definitely stay here again. Loved it! Our host was awesome! Quick replies if we had a question.

Positive stay

We were very happy with our rental. The only improvements we thought of is the couch is very uncomfortable. Also would be nice to have footstools or a coffee table to put your feet up. BUT, it was a very pleasant place besides those two things. This is our first time staying like this and would definitely do it again.

We reserved this house on may 22nd-25th for a missionary that we had in for a visit to our church. We were overall very pleased with the cleanliness etc. but then something disturbing happened. On that Sunday the couple left in the morning, and returned in the afternoon. They had everything locked up, but when they returned, there were dusty bare footprints in the house that hadn’t been there before. (Will include pictures) It appeared that someone came in the side door, and went down the basement stairs. Maybe to do laundry? It was very disturbing to them, and made them uneasy staying there the last night. One other thing is that the stairs to get in don’t have any kind of handrail to hang on to, and make going up and down the stairs a bit dangerous.
