House was very clean, manager was very responsive when we had a small issue with the washing machine. The house was built in the 1930s and we appreciated the historic charm. Parking is easy, house is very private. Deck is very nice with a gate so your dogs can be outside, but kept off the beach.
The location was just as described. Very remote, very quiet, have your own access to the beach. Literally see the beach from the living room. Beds were comfortable and all appliances were in working condition. The view is amazing! Can hear the ocean from your bed at night.
Everything we could ask for in a beach house. Clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The ocean view was superb. Great communication and kindness from the host. We will be back!
Perfect place for a small family. We loved this house. It was clean, lots of sun in the beach facing rooms, and a great deck to watch sunrise, surf, and kids boarding or swimming in the ocean.
We hope to return!
This is the second time we've stayed at this house, and it was just as wonderful this time around. The house is clean and cozy with beautiful ocean views, and the beach right outside is wonderful.
This home is full of character and comfort. Quaint but spacious. The location is perfect for walking the 4 legged family member, too. Perfect in every way!!PERFECT
This was a great house for our family with 2 young boys. The location was very quiet and everything in the house was clean and comfortable. We'd stay here again!
We were in town for the annual Cooper River Bridge Run....and really enjoyed our stay in this very cool Beach House, very well equipped, comfortable beds and beautiful sunrises. Host was quick to get back to us and great to work with. Would definitely stay again!
This is a fantastic location and beautiful home! We enjoyed our stay here. It was very easy to communicate with the host, Mike. We also took a Sun set cruise on his boat. Will definitely visit again.
spent a week here with a friend and we both absolutely loved the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. the house is clean, comfortable, spacious, charming, and exactly as described - it really does have pretty much everything you need. one thing to note thatâs not listed in the description is that the owners have an âA/C policy,â which prohibits renters from lowering the house temperature below 72 in the summer months. our stay was during spring, but had we been staying in summer, this would have been a dealbreaker for us. obviously this is a matter of personal preference, but itâs one that people tend to have strong feelings about. it would be a good idea to state it up front so folks arenât surprised upon arrival.
Highlights of the property were sunrises from the back patio.
The bed was comfortable.
The house was about a mile and a half from city center.
Lots of little extras like binoculars and basic spices that a make a Vrbo
Nice quiet spot at the on a dead end street with privacy and exquisite ocean views.
I always look at Cleanliness first because I think it tells a lot about the rest of the property. This house was no acceptation. Super-clean, bright, perfect location, great layout and as really as about private as you can get on Folly. Excellent trip.
We had a perfect week at this property--maybe the best beach house I've stayed in. The location and beach area are wonderful, and the house was incredibly cozy and perfectly set up for a relaxing week at the beach. Adults and kids alike had a blast.
This house is one of the best small beach houses we have ever rented at Folly. Everything was absolutely perfect. The kitchen well stocked, comfortable bedrooms, cozy den. We loved the views of the ocean from porch. The original artwork was stunning! There was nothing we disliked about this adorable cottage.
Great location, on the beach. House is comfortable, well equipped. Has good Wi-Fi and cables. Beds are comfortable. Fits 3 couples.
The town is great and the beach was fabulous. Only 25m from Charleston
Michael and Dianne Ray have owned their home on Folly Beach since 2008. We have raised both our children on this beach and could not be more grateful for this community. Folly is a special place for all ages and the locals welcome and embrace all who visit and appreciate the beauty of our beach and city. We are a small property management company on the island, representing a select group of clients and homes. Dianne graduated from Clemson University with a degree in tourism management. Involved in hospitality for more years then she cares to admit, she strives to offer visitors a relaxing and stress free vacation experience. Michael was born and raised in Charleston. He has his Real Estate Brokers license and Charter Boat Captains license. Nothing brings Michael more joy then offering visitors and inside peak to life on the waters of Folly.
