Wonderful home, had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the birds and watching the hummingbirds. It was great to venture out to hike or to Red Ricks for our concert and then return up the mountain to the peace and quiet. Would definitely considering staying again if we are back in the area.
Stayed here for a few days because we were in area for a show at Red Rocks. Location was great beautiful area and lots of cool places to explore near home. The home is very clean and has everything you would want for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again in future trips to this area.
We loved the house. It was secluded and had beautiful views from the open deck. Everything you could need was there in the kitchen and the downstairs was a fantastic hangout area. We loved the it and will be back!
Great out of the way cabin with stunning views, I needed to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle and this was the perfect place. Close enough for some day trips with the family and out of the way for some quiet relaxation at the end of the day!
The cabin was a perfect location for trip. We were able to use it as a great landing point for our adventures in CO. The house had plenty of room for our kids.
We loved this cabin! It was exactly as it was pictured. We had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and and the host quickly responded to messages.
I spent a weekend here with a few friends. The cabin is just as described. Very spacious and has all the amenities that you'll need. The views are great too. Definitely take advantage of the grill and big patio. I would stay here again!
Wonderful and relaxing! Everything was great in this cabin. The view is a amazing and the stars are endless. Quiet and peaceful. Great place to unwind and disconnect.
Breathtaking views of the mountains on our drive from the airport. Great home, well equipped, very clean, plenty of space. Well stocked with games & books. Nice quality linens & towels. Very helpful & responsive owners.
Had an amazing stay for the weekend. Tony is a great host. The indoor fireplace (once we figured it out) was great. Kitchen was clean and very useful. Deck with grill and hummingbird was perfect in the morning to watch the sunrise. Highly recommend.
I fell in love with this property as soon as I saw the pictures, and it didnât disappoint! It was a beautiful retreat from the pressures of daily life. Weâd sit out on the porch and watch the sun rise and just go âAhhhh.â We had a question arise during our stay and got practically an immediate response from Tony. I would absolutely come here again!
Cabin was amazing and Tony was a great host. I highly recommend them both. Make sure you pay attention to the details on the listing. Tony does an awesome job of letting you know everything to expect. If you have issues with altitude sickness it is pretty high up but that is also part of what makes it awesome. And the road Iâm sure would be difficult in the winter but we had no issues on our summer stay. All in all - if itâs a good fit and youâre able to stay here - do so!!!! We absolutely loved it!!
This home is amazing. Please listen to the host when they say you need 4WD to get to the property in the winter. Our 4WD truck got stuck and we had to use chains, so plan properly. Also be ready for the neighbor down the hill to laugh at you and record if you get stuck.
The house itself is amazing. Lots of windows and great views. Very spacious and lots of games and puzzles available for family time. Host is very responsive to messages.
The mountain house was truly a gem. Absolutely beautiful environment and views and the house was more than accommodating. Whatever you think you'll need, they had! The host was so accommodating and quick to respond to small issues we had and rectified those issues in a timely manner- generously and promptly. 4 wheel drive is an absolute must in the winter!! If you are comfortable with that then you'll enjoy this oasis. It was a trip with memories to last a lifetime and this beautiful home was a major part of that. We highly recommend this home and host. You will not regret!!!
We had a wonderful time in Bailey celebrating the birth of our newest grandson and Thanksgiving at our sons house near by your mountain home. There were a few bumps in the road with TV issues but a quick call fixed it. The house was fairly clean....the cupboards were very cluttered and the place was very dusty...especially the bathroom vents but we cleaned them. Overall it was a very comfortable mountain home.
Thank you

Altitude sickness
We weren't told the house was above 9000 elevation. I got sick with altitude sickness. The road up to the house was rutted with one especially deep rut that had to be maneuvered around. The water heater allowed only one shower, then had to have time to reheat. The owners personal clothes were in the closets and I had to move them to make room for ours in one closet and the bathroom closet was full of their things; such as alcohol.
Awesome, secluded mountain cabin but close to FUN!
My wife, adult son and I all came to the Denver area for a run of three nights at Red Rocks (in early July), and we had an amazing time! I had hoped to find a place to stay out away from Denver but still within an hour or so drive from the things we wanted to do. This place was the perfect answer!
The house is tidy, well equipped and cozy. Everything you need and so much more. The starry night sky is breathtaking as are the views of the nearby peaks. The incline of the dirt road for the last few hundred yards to the house is no joke (from a midwesternerâs perspective), but itâs very doable. Iâm absolutely positive that 4WD would be necessary in the winter but not a problem without it in July.
Itâs about a 45 minute drive from Red Rocks, which was fine before the shows. After the shows, I found myself wishing the house was closer, but upon arriving back at our home away from home, I was reminded each night that this was exactly what I had wanted.
There are numerous hiking trails nearby, and a day trip to Garden of the Gods was only about 75 minutes away.
All in all, I couldnât possibly have been any happier with our choice!! Absolutely loved this place!
We are a family of 4 (including 2 teen girls 16 & 19). This great cabin gave them the room to be "away from parents" instead of stuck in a hotel room with us. So, it goes without saying, the internet works. Tony is quick to respond & very communicative. Their home is very comfortable with everything we needed. We even made use of their little piano, game & puzzles. It took awhile for my husband to figure out the classic Starbucks espresso machine, but he conquered it & made great drinks! We were there during an Aug heat wave, but the cabin stays cool despite not having AC with nice breeze. A couple nice neighbors, but feels secluded & safe. I'd say a 4-wheeler is best even during non-winter seasons. Getting places may seem slow-going because of winding roads, but we went all over from this location: airport, Red Rocks, Evergreen, Colorado Springs (Garden of Gods), Treehouse Adventures in Bailey is great! We ate at Crossroads Pub & Grill, great food/service. We really enjoyed our stay
Lots of space to spread out with plenty of room to hang out in the open floor plan upstairs and a comfortable family room downstairs if kids need their own space. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware too. The beds were very comfortable. We didnât leave once we arrived.
The minor cons are, first, the close proximity of the neighbors (although they werenât loud or bothersome at all - just not quite as secluded as I imagined it would be). Second - the lack of air conditioning. However, opening the windows and doors allowed plenty of mountain air in to cool things off during the hottest part of the day (it was also unseasonably hot during our stay to be fair). Third - having to take all of our trash with us when we left. Luckily, we had friends in the area who were able to take some, but was a complication I hadnât experienced at other VRBOs.
But these were all very minor and just something to be aware of. We had a great stay and would absolutely return!
We are a family who live in Denver and love the mountains! With three young children, this is a fantastic way for them to experience the mountains and for us to escape every once in a while without the kids!
It is easy to get to - one hour from Denver - but is off the beaten path. The road is paved until about the last half mile, and there are nearby amenities, or we can be as secluded as we would like.
Few properties actually border the national forest. While we call this our cabin, it could also easily be a year-round house with all of the comforts of home.
