Not my first time staying at one of BRO's cabins. Comfy, cozy, and pretty well stocked for the basics. Cabin was clean. Bed was shockingly comfy. Would stay again.
Overall, we really enjoyed the cabin. I did find it strange and an annoyance that there was not a hair dryer in the cabin. It wasn't listed on the app under amenities, but who travels with a hair dryer? When I called the office, they said that "they tend to walk off". I understand that they don't to keep spending money because people steal things, but wouldn't it make more sense and be better for other guests to charge the people who steal it or even rent them out with a deposit. I was told to go to Dollar General and buy one. Why should I buy one? I can't bring it with me because of lack of room in my suitcase, and now, I have given the owners a hair dryer.
The location/privacy of the cabin was great! The things that made it less than a wonderful stay were varied. First, there is no ice maker or dishwasher. These are not "deal breakers" for us...we just bought a bag of ice & paper plates...did a few dishes & were fine. However, we DID notice the fact that we could have driven a mile down the road & had a cabin with both of those amenities for the exact same price. If BRO were to charge less for their cabins, I would consider it worth it to pay less and buy ice/paper plates...but for the same price, I'd like the same amenities. What I DID like was that they had a smart TV enabling us to stream.....AND that the couch/furniture was VERY comfortable! The thing that probably was the biggest issue for us was the leaking faucets...kitchen & bathroom sinks and tub all needed some attention. We put washcloths in them to stop that incessant dripping noise...& reported it when we checked out. Hopefully it was addressed. The other thing (Biggest issue) was the fact that the tub did not drain....almost completely stopped up! It was gross taking showers while standing in other people's hair and who knows what else, so we tried to fix it ourselves... Used a kitchen knife to dig hair and "???" out of that drain...then sanitized the knife in boiling water for 5 min It would seem that the person cleaning the cabin would have noticed this... Idk..?It wasn't a bad stay, but there are things that need to be addressed before I'd book again
