Hobbit house is the perfect destination for LOTR, D&D, and fantasy fans!

True to Tolkien's description, Lizardsniffer's Hobbit House is all about comfort and luxury. Whether you choose to sleep in the soothing Rivendell bedroom or enjoy your night adventure inside the Lonely Mountain bedroom, either way you will find yourself lost in MIddle Earth!

Get your hairy little feet dirty hiking the miles of trails on our 150 acre working horse farm! Then clean them off floating in our private stocked lake with a fishing pole on your lap.

This was our fourth visit to the hobbit house and every time it is awesome. from the hosts to the cabins/cottages to the property everything is a 10. We’ll be back again at some point. Also, great for our puppy a lot of hiking a lot of exploring can’t say enough good things.

Such a beautiful adventure awaits! The Hobbit house was a wonderful weekend escape for my husband and I. The daily walks, horse back riding, and rainy day LOTR movies with hot epson salt baths was the perfect getaway. Our 7 year anniversary was perfectly spent in this little hideaway.

This was the perfect little get away for our family. The property is beautiful and the owners and so kind and welcoming! The property was close to the racetrack we were there for but gave us a nice little escape when we returned. ms Lisa at the barn was so kind to my very excited 4 and 5 year old. They were able to help out with feedings and say good morning to all the horses each day. I would 100% recommend this stay for families or a couples get away. The tranquility is a matched. My husband and I enjoyed our fire and watching for fireflies after the kids went to bed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a perfect getaway! The Hobbit House was exactly what we needed to reset for the new year ahead. Finding the home well-stocked with coffee, tea, and staples was a bonus and a nice touch. We enjoyed meeting Randy and walking around the property. Very quiet. We can't wait to see what else he builds.

Staying here was truly one of the most amazing and memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The entire property feels like stepping straight into the Shire - incredibly immersive, beautifully designed, and so peaceful that it instantly puts you at ease. It’s honestly one of the most thoughtfully created places I’ve ever stayed.The hosts were super kind, communicative, and welcoming. They were generous with amenities, clear without being strict, and their laid‑back approach made the whole stay feel effortless and relaxing.During our visit, I received the heartbreaking news that my grandmother had passed. The quiet, serenity, and gentle magic of this place brought me so much comfort during an incredibly difficult moment. I’m deeply grateful for the peacefulness this property offered when I needed it most.Some of my absolute favorite parts were all the LOTR details woven throughout the space, the awesome bathroom (especially that tub), and the freedom of having a pet‑friendly stay with a golf cart to explore the property. Every element added to the charm and comfort.I will definitely be staying again. This entire property is a gem - peaceful, whimsical, and unforgettable.

Such a warm welcoming place. My second time to visit. This time for a birthday present for my mom. Our host left out birthday decorations, it made her day. She is a big Hobbit fan, so this was amazing to her. The house is so cozy and great for a great away in nature. We had everything we needed the accommodations we great, we were even given a golf cart to explore the property. I highly recommend the Hobbit House.

This place was amazing! It lived up to everything I was expecting. My boyfriend enjoyed riding around the different trails and just exploring. My puppy who went with us also loved running around the property checking out things. Everything was clean and the place itself was so well thought out! The bidet was a life changing experience. We had everything we needed and our host was quick to respond and even checked in to make sure we were happy with everything. As soon as our stay was over, we were looking to book another stay here!

I cannot recommend this place more for its comfort, management’s response time, and the way they really go above and beyond for your experience. You get so much more than just your cabin for the reasonable price it’s listed at. Horseback riding, lake access and water equipment, golf carts to explore the property, walking trails that you could explore all day long on top of this incredibly niche and nostalgic Lord of the rings experience.Lisa and Randy are wonderful hosts. They included personalized touches for my boyfriend’s birthday. They offered access to so many things the ranch has to offer, it’s not just the “cabin” rental. The only correction to the listing that should be noted solely for clarity is that it’s not a hot tub for outdoor use like with a group of friends, but rather a soaking tub with jets for private use. Still amazing because they include bubble bath, epsom salt and bath bombs for your enjoyment. My nephew had a blast, and I had a relaxing cozy experience on my own. However, the outdoor shower really was the cherry on the Sunday for a unique and fun experience. Pet friendly and “included” with their cute dog and cats on the property. If you go, say hi to Ollie for me.

The pictures online don't do the place justice. The attention to detail and thematic thought that went into the Hobbit House was incredible. Randy and Lisa are wonderful hosts, quick to respond and friendly. The location is peaceful and relaxing. Certainly the most unique place we have ever stayed.

This is our 3rd time at the hobbit house & we will continue coming. It is the perfect getaway for my wife & I, & our dog Cleo. The house is amazing with all the amenities & decor. there are areas to hike/walk around the property. It feels so secluded out here. Cleo has the opportunity to get her running in. But the best part are our host Randy & Lisa. They make you feel so welcome & anything you need all you do is ask. But they also leave you be & let you enjoy the experience. Can't wait to get back.

I wanted an unforgettable vacation for my 3 kids and i this summer and the Lizard Sniffer Ranch did just that. We used everything we could at the property. My girls rode the golf cart around the trails and rode the horses. My son sat at Marvel and read comic books. The Hobbit House was so unique that the memories will last a lifetime and we will look forward to returning next year.

I go to northern Georgia and North Carolina every year and this place was the cleanest and nicest place l have ever been at. Great people running the peopert. This cabin looks amazing and we had never seen something like that before.beautiful trails and a lake for enjoyment. We will definitely go back soon.

Best Lord of Rings Escape

I booked this property as a surprise getaway for my husband’s 30th birthday, and we had an absolute blast. He is a huge Lord of the Rings fan and enjoyed all the of creative decor, especially the hobbit door. Randy was also an amazing host! He was so quick to get back to you if you needed anything or had a question, We can’t wait to book again!

Magical birthday weekend

We had a wonderful stay at the Hobbit House! The detail in the design and decor were incredible. Randy was a welcoming, friendly host. We were surprised to be offered a golf cart to use for the duration of our stay. There were many wooded trails to explore and kayaks/boats to use in the lake. He even provided a birthday cake for our daughter, which was much appreciated!

Review of the Shire

This was one of the best experiences we’ve had with renting a place. The place in itself is spectacular, with so many fun details not included in the pictures online. The property is full of adventures including horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, and riding around on a golf cart. Randy and his wife went above and beyond to make it a great experience. We will definitely be coming back again! It is so worth every penny to stay here!
