A group of us decided to visit Olney and spend the weekend fishing at East Fork. We had a great time and truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Plenty of space for the 6 of us and very close proximity for all of our needs.
Our family has stayed here twice in 3 months and will continue to stay upon availability. Love the historical home, very comfortable and spacious for large group. Met all our needs. Host has been great.
Our group of friends enjoyed our stay in this lovely historic home located right in the heart of town. We enjoyed the short walks to a great donut shop, cafe, and various restaurants. The property does have central AC on the main floor and window units in each bedroom which worked well. Great communication from the seller any time I had questions. If I had to be picky, my only complaints would be the bedroom pillows being too flat (though I did find a suitable replacement in a closet) and the sheets being 100% polyester rather than cotton. Otherwise all around a great place to stay with a group of 8 people.
This worked out perfect for our needs. It was next to the the event center that we were going to for a wedding reception. When you walk in, it was like we stepped back in time. It's decorated very nicely. The beds we're comfortable. Thank you again!
There were five of us (all adults) in town for a last-minute trip and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. This was the perfect location as it was right down town Olney within a five minute drive to family and a three minute walk to breakfast and coffee at Ophelia's.
We didn't spend a lot of time at the house due to our full schedule, but the time we did spend was comfortable -- and relaxing on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning was a great way to kill time while waiting for the rest of our group to get ready. I really enjoyed the period feel of the house -- complete with a modern kitchen that was well stocked with anything that we would need had we had a more leisurely trip in mind. The dark woods and period decor made it feel like we had stepped back in time.
The host was very prompt in responding to all my questions -- which made the check-in process that much easier (especially with group members arriving at different times).
I would definitely stay here again vs. the local hotel, especially if it were with a larger group. The only downside in my mind is only have two full baths for the house -- getting ready meant getting up earlier, but it's definitely not a dealbreaker!
Emergency trip for family and needed accomodations for 7. Hostess was extremely attentive to our needs and home was perfect. Already have made reservations for a more joyous occasion. 5*+
