The house was not clean and full of spiders inside and outside however, the view was beautiful though. Checkin was smooth but when we went out for lunch, in the way back the main gate wonât open. The little door next to it was open but we had to walk for 1/2 mile to get to the house with my wife broken leg and two little kids. We called the host person. He did not respond for more than 4 hours and first he suggested to leave my car outside and walk every time which is crazy. We rejected that suggestion. At night he sent someone to open the main gate and leave open at the way until the end of our stay which I think is very unsafe.
This place is amazing. The house is well equipped and incredibly comfortable. The panoramic views of the lake were awe inspiring at both sunrise and sunset. The local fauna also provided entertainment. Oh & the goats! We would highly recommend and will be staying again!
We stayed here for our annual girls trip. It is amazing. The property is beautiful, there is lake access that doesn't require a dock, we've had an issue with this at other places. We put the paddle boards in without difficulty and spent a good time on the lake. It's quiet at night with the driveway beautifully lit up. We loved our stay here and will definitely be staying here again.
in the beginning, communication with the host was not very good. the latch on the front door was tough to manage; felt like the key was going to break off. the whole stay you could smell the goat's feces in the house and on the property. we were expecting access to the whole house. found out there was the first level that was locked off; felt uneasy about that.
My wife and I wanted to find a place on the water not far from home. About 130 miles away we found a place (lake front) on a place that was an old fishing hole of mine from 20 some years ago. Although the fishing wasn't what it once was (at least not this weekend) we experienced a wonderful house that was very clean and had all that we needed and more. The 1st night had us traveling in the dark using Google Maps and had us a bit of course. When I say dark, I mean dark! I sent a text at around 9pm and the owner called us to give us much better directions to reach the property. We were very close but still a bit troubled by our travels in pitch black and relying on a cell phone signal. Nonetheless, he guided us right to it and once we arrive, we took our bags inside to find a beautiful and clean house with a bottle of red wine on the table. We relaxed watching the wildlife, fed the goats on the property and tool a trip into the town of Orange for a bit of local shopping. Was wishing for better fishing but that is fishing! This was an awesome trip and we hope to return again.
This massive property doesn't end at the spacious interior. The yard is beautiful, and nothing is better than private Lakefront. Nature at its best with goats that you can interact with and feed. And I have tomention the friendly resident ducks. Overall, this experience is 10 out of 10. Friendly and informative host. Thank you so much for a one of atime h
Recommended for all walks of life. A âhidden theme parkâ with all kind of fun things to do- Mini zoo, mini golf, steps to lake, walking paths, fire pits, tons of outside seating and swing, beautiful views, and so much more!! Youâll be greeted by super cute and friendly geese. This property provides extra special hospitality. Will definitely visit again.
