Quiet getaway for the two of us.

We love Dauphin Island and usually stay at the Inn. Unit #211 was perfect for us. Ut was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice place to stay

Beach front, we had room 211. Like the other reviewers said, no curtains in the livingroom, not a big deal, you get full time view of the beach. The room could use a refresh but it was clean and comfortable. No problems with gate or room keypads as another reviewer had said. We only got in the pool once, 3 feet on each end and 6 foot in the middle. I’d guess both pools were the same. The pools were beet and clean, maybe 5 or 5 lounge chairs at each one. We spent the mornings at west beach and the beach at the property and afternoons running around. I would stay here again, it was a nice getaway.

Vacation Get Away at Dauphin Island

Reviewer Comments: We recently visited Dauphin Island and stayed at The Inn of Dauphin Island. The Condo was very nice. The extra that were included made our stay very convenient. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. I was disappointed that the pool was not as clean as I would have anticipated. Although it was a pretty good walk to the beach, the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed it every day. The property was quiet and peaceful--we enjoyed coffee every morning on the balcony.

The Inn-211

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a great location. It is right on the beach and the view from the balcony is amazing! It is located within walking distance of one of the islands' restaurants and a few of the shops. It is just a short bike ride/car ride away from other shops and restaurants as well. The furniture is a bit dated and the cleanliness of the condo does leave a bit in question. The carpet in the bedrooms were stained and worn, the beds had stained sheets and the kitchen cabinet nobs had a fine layer of greasy film. The condo could use a deep cleaning with some new linen and would then be an overall fantastic place to stay!

Wonderful time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at The Inn at Dauphin Island Unit 211 and we’ll definitely be back! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The beach was great and it wasn’t crowded at all. The kids loved the pool. I loved having a washer and dryer! The gated parking lot was very nice too. We didn’t do much around the island bc of COVID, but everything looked very nice and we can’t wait to come back in more normal times. My 9 year old caught fish right from the beach in front of the inn so he was thrilled with that. I never actually saw it written anywhere but I was very happy to see the property had an outdoor shower for rinsing the sand off everything before coming back inside, also! Already planning next years trip, thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Not What I expected for $1600,

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo has been poorly maintained for a $350 a night rental. Light fixture falling down in the master bath, shower nozzle plugged up, scuff marks all over the walls, doors and baseboards, band aids covering electrical outlets. Very poorly cleaned. I took several pictures to document the condition. I would not recommend this condo to anyone in the current state. I will gladly share the pictures I took to document the condition of the unit.

Also the "helpful" info in the text about what to expect on the island, getting groceries prior to coming, etc. The condo (rm 211) was fine, it was clean and had everything we needed. Fabulous view of the beach. Longer walk to the beach than what I'm accustomed to, but no futher than the other places in that area.

But we had to go out and purchase toilet paper because they only provided 1 and a half rolls for our 6-day stay, with 4 people. There was mold visible on the ceilings in some places and in others, you could tell that it had just been painted over. Somewhat understandable I guess because it's right by the beach, but still, they should monitor that and treat it when it shows up...not just paint over. There was this light...thing...and my 4 year old was curious and touched it and it burned her. I have no idea what it was, but it's dangerous to not have at least a warning sign.

A very large BUT

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the Inn was great. Location. Beach. Room. Neighborhood. All greatBUTDon't rent #211 unless you are some kind of exhibitionist or you have no interest in using the den/living room at night. There are no curtains or blinds for the glass doors to the patio. It's not that they're missing or whatever. There's literally no hardware on the walls to hold up blinds. There is nothing there.You can't even hang a sheet to block out the world. You can do like we did in the evenings, turned off the lights and stayed in the bedroom.I totally recommend the hotel but not room 211.

Beautiful Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Inn unit 211 was a great place to stay on the island. It was clean and the views were spectacular! The pools were not crowded. There was a long walk to the beach but not unbearable. I do recommend wearing shoes on the boardwalk as my son got a blister when walking on it during the day due to the heat. The staff and property manager was nice and pleasant to work with. Easy walk across the street for food or Icecream at Island Rainbow, Pirates Pizza, or Reel Deal BBQ. Will definitely stay here again since the island is less commercialized and crowded like other beach towns.
