Visiting from Hilton Head, SC for family reunion. This place was a breath of fresh air and just the unplug and recharge that was desperately needed. Natural and comfortable with everything we needed. My daughter says she wants to come back and "vacation" here, which is funny considering where we live.
My husband, kids, and I rented this property for a relaxing family 3-day weekend. Everything was perfect! We enjoyed swimming and playing tennis, and the kitchen had just what we needed to prepare simple lunches and dinners.
The place was fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed the peacefulness and tranquillity of the property. Very private. Super romantic and ideally located for exploring the delta. Truly perfect.
We loved this place my kiddos had a blast. we got to pet horses and stuff. the only downside was there was alot of wasps alot lol but other than that we loved it. It was perfect for us
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future. The place was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The pool and tennis court were great, and both are right outside the cottage. We enjoyed the fireflies from the screened porch in the evening. Be sure to take mosquito spray. Absolutely lovely!
The cabin itself is nice and quaint, exactly what you want when booking a space like this. Then you add in the perfect amount of amenities and you start to wonder if you could just stay there for much longer than your visit:) Their land, the space that they've built and the company that they provide was a really nice breath of fresh air. Thank you Lars and Family!
The Peacock Cottage was a beautiful, secluded nugget of paradise in the heart of the Delta. The caretaker is a precious lady who was so very accommodating and kind. The pool was a delicious reprieve at the end of the day from the pounding Mississippi heat. It is a quiet, private, and inviting space to enjoy reading, conversation, or friends with some porch sitting. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and promise to return.
Wonderful little cottage, just right for 2 people. The kitchen is small but serviceable, we ate most of our meals there. There's no freezer, but we brought an ice chest with us and ice is crazy cheap at the ice house in Cleveland. We visited Clarksdale, Cleveland, Leland, Greenville and Indianola (some terrific music museums!!) - Shaw is in the middle of them all. Lars is an attentive host and the private pool was a fantastic wrap up to every day. Highly recommend!
The cabin is just as pictured. The host was nice and greeted me when I got there. Issues w/the cabin were hard beds, lighting inadequate (bulbs out), no blinds on the door or windows facing front, which made me uncomfortable and kitchen loaded w/fruit flies. Muddy dogs jumping all over me wasn't fun. They're sweet, but out of control and run loose. Very picturesque and quiet, but not for me.
We chose this cabin instead of a motel room and could not be happier. Itâs very nicely decorated, itâs clean, and itâs cozy. I stayed there with my three sons, and there was plenty of room for a short, weekend stay. There is a tiny kitchen with sink, cooktop, and fridge, and thereâs a coffee pot and coffee. The porch is really nice to sit out on, and the deck on the other side is as well. There is a tennis court and swimming pool right beside the cabin. My boys enjoyed walking through some of the fields and woods on the property. Just beautiful. Mr. Ely was so nice and accommodating. We look forward to staying again!
The Cottage was beautiful and clean on the inside. The drive on the way up to the cottage needed grooming. The Air Conditioner needed help... It would not cool the place great at all. We did just as we were suppose to with it and it still would not cool. Could not get the DVD player to work. Needless to say we did not stay the second night. We returned and collected our belongings and drove 3 hours to get home at 12:00 a.m. in the morning rather than sleeping hot again.
We had a wonderful time at the Peacock in the Delta! Secluded and quiet, just like we wanted. A step back in time relaxing on the screened in porch right by the blooming Mississippi Magnolia tree. The amenities were wonderful for our daughter. She loved the tennis court, pool and tree swing. Lars was a great host who checked on us daily and was also quick to answer any questions before we arrived and even during our stay. We loved the furry friends as well. Highly recommend!
Sehr netter Gastgeber, tolle Lage auf einer Farm, tolles kleines Haus mit allem was man braucht: voll ausgestattete KĂŒche, Bad, TV. Wir wĂ€ren gerne lĂ€nger geblieben. Danke Lars

This is our 2nd summer to spend a weekend at the Peacock. My boys are 6 and 9 and they just love this little cabin and pool. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Lars and his wife are really friendly. It rained the Saturday morning we were there and it was so nice to sit on the back porch drinking coffee and watching the rain. Honestly I wish I was still there instead of at work this morning. Haha
