Complimentary Cuisinart 2-in-1 coffee machine; free K-pods and tea are provided.
• Dining table with 4 dining chairs are in a dedicated dining area near the kitchen
• 2 spacious bedrooms (2 beds total*): 1 king bed and 1 queen bed; EACH bed comes with a Zinus 10-inch comfy mattress and two types of pillows (firm and soft) that comfortably sleep up to two (2) adults; clean bed linens and pillows are provided. You will have the entire TWO-floor apartment – the Heritage Suite – exclusively to yourself during your stay. You will access the apartment through the private entrance on the garden / first floor (no need to share with any guests or host). Feel free to use anything that's provided in the apartment and make yourself home. For guests' safety, the utility basement is restricted for guest use / access.

VAN VORST HOUSE is conveniently located in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey, which is in a historic, quiet, charming neighborhood full of brownstone homes and trees. Jersey City and Hoboken, in Hudson County, are sometimes referred to as the “Sixth Borough of New York City” given their proximity to Manhattan. Jersey City is the affordable alternative for NYC travel. Located one mile from lower Manhattan, it's easily accessible by PATH, ferry, bus or train. A shopper's paradise with no sales tax on clothing or shoes and 3.5 percent sales tax in our UEZ zones, which is one half the normal tax rate.
Our property is 3 blocks / less than 10 mins walk away from Grove St PATH station. The PATH train can take you to Downtown Manhattan in less than 10 minutes to World Trade Center / Oculus. Additionally, you can get to 9th Street, 14th Street, 23rd Street and 33rd Street within minutes with no traffic. The PATH trains run as frequently as every 5 minutes during the peak hours and every 20 minutes during the off-peak hours / weekend.
Jersey City is the affordable alternative for NYC travel. Located one mile from lower Manhattan, it's easily accessible by ferry, PATH, bus or train. Stay here to visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, RPM Raceway and the Liberty Science Center. Getting Around:
Our property is very conveniently located and easy to get to New York City via the PATH train. The property is ~5-10 mins walk to the Grove Street PATH station, and 2 stops to World Trade Center / Downtown Manhattan (~8-10 mins train ride). The Grove Street PATH station is one of the main transfer hub for the PATH train network. Additionally, the PATH train can also take you from Grove Street station to lower Manhattan all the way to midtown around 33rd (West Village, Greenwich Village, Flatiron, Union Square, Koreatown, etc) within a couple of stops.
PATH Ticket Cost: a single one-way ticket for PATH train is $2.75. You can use Pay-per-ride MetroCard (the same card you use to ride NYC subway, bus etc.) to ride the PATH. Please note PATH does not accept the Metropolitan Transporation Authority OMNY card / tap at this time. 1-day, 7-day, 30-day unlimited PATH pass are available for purchase. You can buy the tickets at a kiosk at any PATH / subway stations.
Parking
• On-site parking is not available; street parking is limited and mainly for residents (requires city parking permit)
• City parking rules are strictly enforced; guests not encouraged to drive
• Paid garage parking options are available within minutes for ~$25-30 per day (e.g., 95 Columbus / 66 Columbus / 160 Morgan / 201 Morgan)
