Cosy central Shaftesbury 2 bed cottage with Parking
Easter Cottage is located in central Shaftesbury so everything is available directly from your doorstep. Independent shops, great pubs and restaurants, and amazing walks - The famous Gold Hill with views of the Blackmore Vale is a 3 minute level stroll from the house. The town has museum and an old Abbey garden so plenty to see and do. There is no need for car, but if you have one we are so close to the jurassic coastline with all the beaches/walks and places of interest to visit there. Longleat Safari/Tank Museum/ Monkey world are also a short distance away.
A comfortable and well-appointed modern cottage, ideally located for access to Shaftesbury's facilities and exploring the surrounding area. However, we were disconcerted that the check-in details were provided only a short time before our scheduled arrival time. We had some difficulty accessing the Vrbo portal to view the owner's messages. In other properties we have rented, check-in details have always been provided well beforehand.
The cottage is in a great location, you can walk to everything. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. We loved staying here and thought the town was lovely.
Lovely little house right in the centre of Shaftesbury near shops and cafes, with its own parking space. It had everything we needed, was very clean and Nicky was great at communicating. Will definitely book again.
This was our fourth stay at the cottage and the one thing I can say that we really like is consistency. It is always clean, welcoming and a bit of an oasis in the centre of Shaftesbury. We had a rental car and use of a parking space cannot be overstated in the town. The cottage is cozy and everything works! Its location is also great for the various restaurants and walks around town. There are a couple of new eateries that we tried since our last visit in November 2023. The Kings Arms has opened as a gastro pub and was very good. Although around for many years, we also had a very enjoyable meal with friends at the Italian San Tonino, especially interesting if you like going through a graveyard to get to a restaurant! We also visit Aroma at least once every trip. Thanks for Nicky for her hospitality and we are already looking forward to our next visit, hopefully in 2026.
