I will start by saying, the condo itself is not the issue. It is lovely. The issue is the owner/host.
The issues are: the front desk was not made aware of our arrival. We were left to frantically call VRBO and the host, not knowing if we had a place to stay. When the host did call it was from a number that came up SPAM. We were advised by the front desk that the same issue arose with the prior guests.
We were not provided with the code to get into the building as a whole. If there was nobody at the front desk, we were locked out.
We only received one key for the suite. That is a real safety concern because if the door is locked from the outside by one of the guests. The remaining guest is locked inside the suite. There is no way to unlock the door from the inside.
The was no manual or any information on the wifi code, the air conditioning system, what to do with garbage, etc.
There is a tv - but no tv sevice. No channels at all.
I was told the host was inexperienced, so I contacted him about my concerns. In response: he threatened to rescind the 5 star rating he had given us as guests, stated that hotels also take hours to check people in and that next time we should stay in a hotel, that he was new and we were only the second guests, which he later contradicted by saying that he had 5 prior bookings that were very happy, that VRBO agreed with him about the issues. I asked for proof, it was not given.
