Location was quiet, owner was very nice. The towels at first were not provided but, then we found some. Cool stay. We had a good time. Too cold for pool.
We had experienced some bad weather just as we arrived dick came around with flash lights as we had lost power dick was very informative about what had happened and we could be without power for awhile it was like luxury camping we had decieded to stay weather was great we enjoyed walking around as time went on the town had suffered some pretty had tornados so takeing adventures were limited but we still had a good time plan to be going back this winter the manager was very accommodatingand great hospitality even offered water which we found
The property was so cute and exactly as pictured. The photos may look like itâs a little outdated but nothing about the cabin made us feel it was âoldâ (almost kitschy in a way) the beds were new and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook meals. Everything was clean! The owner was very friendly and personally called us that evening to see if we had any questions. It was close to Gore mountain. My friends and I are thinking about coming back when the pools open and renting all 4 cabins! I would totally recommend over Any hotel in the area!!!
My stay here with my partner was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was so clean and was such a nice home away from home. The property owner Mr. Dioux was there to welcome us in the morning and was always there to help if there was an issue. Will definitely be booking another vacation out here again.
Very cozy cabin in quiet setting. Owner friendly and responsive. I will definitely look up availability of this cabin next time I will plan vacation near by.
We had a fabulous time cabin is awesome ... so clean ... kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils! Perfect and we canât wait to go back in the summer
I enjoyed our stay! Only complaint was the odor that came from air conditioner?? The pool.
I wish the pool was open longer. After enjoying my day in the little cities and mountain climbing, I just wished we could have a dip in pool when we returned but it was locked at 700pm. The air conditioner smelled too. Other than these 2 things it was fabulous!
The cabin was nice and well equipped. Don't forget to bring towels. We loved being "away from it all" but it is about a 30 min drive to any bigger city so if you are looking to be around more stores, restaurants, etc...this would not be a good choice. But if you are looking for peaceful, quaint and good hiking...you'll love this place. The pool was a great ammenity too. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We stay there from August 24th to the 27th it was a wonderful stay the cabin we stayed in was red one it was beautiful the pool was beautiful and the manager dick was a wonderful person I recommend this a hundred percent I will be returning as soon as possible
It wasn't the cleanest place. Beds and pillows smelled funky. Definitely had worse shower systems ever. if you plan to do do anything near lake George this isn't the place. It's about 30 minutes away from lake George.
The lights were on and it was warm and cozy when we arrived late at night. Basic furnishings and appointments, but that fit the charm! Very close to Gore Mtn which was a must, as we were getting up and out early for ski races. We didn't build a fire because it was pretty warm, but I was surprised that there wasn't a good supply of wood available...we were told we could drive somewhere nearby to buy some. That was unusual.
Impressed with the eco Rinnai water heater...I've heard about these types of "heated water on demand" units, but never seen one in action. Really neat!
The cabin is easily accessible and conveniently close to Gore, while at the same time having a secluded and rustic feel. The fireplace is convenient, and the accommodations are simple yet comfortable enough. The manager, Dick Doux, is a sweet man.
The cabin was exactly as advertised. Very clean and was ready for use when we arrived. The caretaker was friendly and introduced himself to us as soon as we got there. Great place to stay.
Went to the chalet first, which was modern and roomy. The private pool looked great, but the weather did not permit swimming.
Spent the next 4 night in Cabin #2, which was a two bedroom located in between the two other cabins. It was very cozy, and we found the bed in the main bedroom to be very comfortable. Took nice walks to the local creek, as well as day trips to North Creek, Schron Lake, and Lake George. Weather did not allow use of the pool, which was nice to sit near and relax.
I will say that if you are looking for privacy, you might want to look elsewhere, as two main houses along with the 4 cabins provide little privacy and if the place is fully booked, can be a bit overwhelming for those who are not social. Phone service is not happening, but wifi worked fine. It was also pet friendly, which was a plus.
My girlfriend and I spend our Memorial Day weekend at cabin #3 (Orange). If I'm not mistaken, it's the most outdated of the three cabins available. Since we spend most of our time by Lake George, it was the perfect cabin to come to and call it a night. A fireplace, a desk and plenty of space to simply relax.
There is practically no phone reception in the area and surroundings, so contacting each other was a bit complicated. A house phone and wifi was provided with the cabin. The pool seemed great but not heated, so we couldn't use it since it got pretty chilly towards the night time.
Overall, located in a great area, not far from Lake George and a great experience!
Once we pulled up the kids were in awe! We stayed in mid-July. We stayed in Cabin 2. It was my husband, sister, and her 3 kids- 13,11, and 8. The kids had a ball. We made big bon fires nightly and the pool was great. Overall, very clean and accomodating. We brought our 2 small dogs as well. Next time we will definitely book 2 cabins, but the one we stayed in fit us just right. We slept in the room with the queen size bed. My sister and her son slept in the room with the 2 twin beds, and the little ones slept on the big futon in the living room. When we arrived there were brochures and travel guides awating us, along with a nice letter from the grounds keeper/ property manager. There was free wifi and cable and all worked well. We were 5 minutes from town and provisions, and 20 minutes away from Lake Geroge Vilage, where we spent 2 of the 4 afternoons. At night we BBQed and roasted marshmallows. Definitely will stay again!
The only negative was that the rooms had a strong musky smell.
Also, when we arrived our bbq wasnt working well. But once brought to the property manager's attention he went out and bought us a new one the next day!

During the Summer of 1998 I got the Adirondack fever craze where I would take my old wood paneled station wagon and my black Lab George and we would drive up to the Adirondacks and sleep inside the car by some River or in a motel when we could find vacancy. I was looking for a simple cabin to purchase where I would complete the writing requirements of my graduate studies. When I found this wonderful property and was informed by the realtor that the current owners (a partnership) wanted out and would be willing to hold mortgage my fate was sealed. The story becomes complete when a year later I meant my quirky friend Dick Doux who is our onsite host. With a background in Hotel management and a genuine concern to take care of guests in his words "how could we go wrong?"
The setting of the property is truly beautiful. The architectural design of true Adirondack Style cabins and the proximity to all outdoor activities made it ideal.
When you walk to the Mill Creek next to the property you will have left everything else behind you. You make a bonfire at night and smell the wonderful pine breeze and hear the this gives you a sense of inner peace and satisfaction.
