Oceanfront home in Vilano Beach with big fenced-in yard perfect for kids and pets. Short ride to Nights of Lights and other St Augustine events. Close proximity to downtown attractions, Outlet Mall, Sawgrass Country Club, Palencia, and World Golf Village. Three bedroom, three bath with queen pull out sofa can accommodate families or multiple couples. Spacious front and back patios make this house perfect for get togethers and weekend getaways. All bathrooms have recently been renovated and bedroom carpet replaced with original hardwood flooring. Watch the sunset from the west facing porch or relax in the backyard hammocks overlooking the beach. Walking distance to Publix supermarket and Vilano town center makes this house super convenient!
This may be the best VRBO we've stayed in. The location and the access to the beach was perfect. We didn't want to leave the house. I'm already looking to book next year.
We thought the house was nice, and we all had plenty of room. Downfall on the back room, it got pretty hot , a lot hotter than the rest of the house. Only other thing was the large mound and hill to get over to and from the beach but thatâs bc we had elderly people with us. That wasnât ideal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Drive way floods very fast and deep easily, front storm door sticks hard to open. Have small dogs and grass needed mowed badly, gas grill wouldnât work, starter button wasnât working. Back gate to oceanfront wouldnât close due to over growth and sand buried all over bottom of fencing. Back screen door doesnât lock. Text about dishwasher broken, then three days later called to report issue. Trash never picked up on schedule day, needs exterminators attention for red ants and roaches. I understand things break! But when cleaning crew comes they know a lot of these issues are continuing to happen, dishes put away dirty in cabinets and sink stops wonât hold water for washing. Very sad have rented this house in the past four years and was very well maintained and keep. Not sure what has happened, extra bedroom and bathroom and some upgrades in master bathroom, shouldnât compromise the things needing immediate attention that are listed as part of the property perks when renting. Wasnât worth the price payed for seven day stay. Will check out in the future but will also check out other places in same area or go back to Pointe Verda area next visit. Wish I could say much nicer things about property but I wouldnât want anyone miss leading me and my family.Thank you
Went for our 25th anniversary- loved being so near to st Augustine to see all the Christmas lights and still having the awesome beach view- so appreciated being able to have our dogs with us- they LOVED the beach
House is very nice! Great location!
But when it rains it comes in under the door into the living room! Called and emailed property manager but nothing was done! We constantly and to put towels down and keeping washing and drying them!
Overall, we really enjoyed the location and being right on the beach with our son and our dogs. There are some minor improvements to the property that I would suggest for the future: fix the broken hinge on the screen door on the back porch, fix the latching mechanism on the side screen door on the back porch, clarify how the thermostat scheduling is set (I had to adjust it manually to reach desired temperatures under 74 degrees), improvement on cleaning crew (we brought pets but I noticed quite a bit of other dog hair on my socks in the house. I think with some better sweeping and mopping this wont be an issue),
This is a great beach house to stay at! We also brought our dog, his favorite part was the beach. The beach is great for relaxing, playing in the surf and fishing all right out the back door. Vilano beach is a great beach town. There is a Publix right down the road, as well as a Cirlcle K for gas. St. Augustine is a cool town too. Take the ghost tour on a golf cart, we were able to go down smaller streets and see more of the city that way. The trolly tours stick to the main roads. This is a great place to stay, very close to everything.
Over all we enjoyed our stay, however when we asked to have the screen door fixed weâre told someone would come the next day. No one came! Tired of the bumblebees and dining needles flying in, I fixed the screen which was halfway out of the door lying on the floor. Also the screen door leading to the backyard and beach was impossible to close we had to tie it closed. The next problem is the owner sent me a text that a primary bedroom sink was cracked, my wife wiped her sink and didnât see a crack, and my use of the sink consisted of teeth cleaning and shaving, and non of my activity could have caused a crack. One real issue I had was the garage door code did not work and i couldnât use the garage on the first night, it was extremely stormy, and my Porsche Carrera Convertible had to stay out in the storm. We would appreciate getting half our money back for all this inconvenience.
