An elegant designer vacation paradise uniquely situated English basement in a 4-bedroom home. 2 blocks away from Walmart. Steps to bus Metro 62 & 63 stops and short distance to Takoma & Petworth Metro stations. Just minutes from downtown DC and Silver Spring. A smoke and pet free home warm with members of my family upstairs. This Haven has a microwave, refrigerator, a four-seater dining table, tv, high-speed internet Wi-Fi, washer, AC, dryer, sofa. Bedroom is equipped with a king mattress.
Good stay in a dexent neighborhood that was convenient to downtown and tourist centers. The host was very accomodating and interested in our satisfaction. I should have read the description more carefully because I believed there were 2 bedrooms but there was one separate bedroom and a twin bed in the living room. It is a basement apartment but cozy. We did have issues with pot smell from the neighbors, but a nice stay overall.

The listing was a bit misleading. It was described as a 2-bedroom, but it was actually just one bedroom and a cot in the basement. There was no real kitchenâonly a fridge and microwave, and no sink, which made things a bit inconvenient. Also, the ceilings were quite low, around 6 feet, so not ideal for tall people. That said, check-in was smooth and easy, which I appreciated. Just wish the listing had been more accurate.
We picked this location because my son needed to be seen at Childrenâs National for an appointment with Pulmonary. The location was great and less than 5 miles away! The water pressure was really good and shower necessities were supplied too. There was street parking, but the host offered us a better alternative behind her the home (the rental does also have a separate entrance). When we arrived it was downpour raining, but the host still got an umbrella to help us out anyway. I do believe there are more amenities than what is actually listed for this rental. We will look to see if this is available again when we go back to Childrenâs in 6 months. Very gracious host!
My wife and I stayed here for our weekend in DC. The place was about 20 minutes from the National Mall depending on traffic and stop lights. It's not the nicest part of DC but it's not terrible. Check in was pretty smooth except we didn't have a keypad code on the app so we had to message the host, but he responded quickly and we were able to get in the house easily. The place was just as expected. It was clean and a good place to stay for the price. The only thing we found odd was the bathroom had a window to a laundry room in it. We didn't see anyone in there but it might give others some peace of mind if there was a shade or some kind of covering over it in the future. Overall, the host was great, we enjoyed our stay, and we would consider staying here again.
