We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great little vacation for us to take our almost 2 year old daughter to, and our dog. It was a comfy place with a great view. Outdoor activities in the area were fun and relaxing. We had fun!
My sisters and I took our mother on a trip to the Rolla and Fort Leonard Wood area where she lived long ago. The cabin was about a 40 minute drive from these locations. What a fabulous spot! Gorgeous view of the Gasconade River and bluffs off of the deck! Heather shared some interesting historical details about the property which we talked about all weekend. Clean, inviting and plenty of room for our group. Loved the cabin!
The view and the surroundings make this cabin worth the trip! Quiet, secluded spot in the hills above a river valley. I couldn't get enough of soaking in that view and listening to the silence. It was a great get-away for our teens, who loved hiking the trails and exploring.
We did have to do some shopping to get essentials like napkins and dish detergent, and the cabin was not as thoroughly clean as other places we've stayed at. But we greatly enjoyed our time there, and overall, would recommend it.
We loved the spectacular views from the bluff house. We watched the morning sun burn away the fog in the river valley below, and the large birds below gliding on the updrafts. We walked the short path to the bench on the natural point below and marveled at the pastoral beauty of the pastures of green below, spotted with contented cattle. We drove a couple miles to the Clifty Creek trail and explored the natural bridge. In the evening we gathered around the campfire, if full view of the scene below, and reflected on the day. The house was clean and well stocked, and Tom and Kathy were excellent hosts. We will be back.
This property was perfect for us. It is nothing fancy and frilly just a quiet secluded low key cabin. The cabin is older but the location and host make this place what it is. The view is amazing and the host are super sweet, helpful and friendly. The house is well stocked to meet all your needs. We loved the fire pit and supplied firewood to enjoy our evenings. Due to the secluded location groceries/gas station are a 20+ minute drive but we enjoyed this because we took the back roads to enjoy the beauty of the place. Another couple joined us for a float on the Big Piney and Gasconade Rivers and stayed one night with us. There was plenty of space in the cabin for all of us. The history of the cabin and property was fun to hear about from the owner and made our stay even more enjoyable. We hope to go back someday!
Came to enjoy the Gasconade, and this property gave us great access to a blufftop location and view, a trail down to the river, and they provided three canoes as well!
This property was a wonderfully private retreat where we felt like kings of the hill! With a fantastic view of the valley below and so much space to breathe in, we couldn't have asked for a more restful and relaxing weekend getaway!
Was very peaceful and pleasant just wish I would have had another day there .
Great place to stay with a beautiful view of the valley and the river . Modem conveniences yet touch of the past . Although it rained almost the whole time we were there it was great .
Great weekend for my husband & I (plus two dogs!). The view was beautiful, the cabin had everything we needed, our only complaint was our weekend was too short ;) We loved our visit and would definitely come back!

Well, Tom actually grew up on this property. We were both gone from the country for most of our working years. When we came back we vowed to slow our lives down and begin enjoying the days here in this special place. We enjoy the people who visit as guests. We preach nature and relaxation here at Rock Eddy Bluff Farm.
This property in on the land where Tom grew up. It has many memories for him. Our country business is unique in the state, offering secluded accommodations in the ozark woods. The cabins/cottages have scenic views of the river valley and are secluded well away from each other. Rock Eddy Bluff Farm offers fully modern cottages and off-the-grid cabins in the woods.
Fishing, canoeing, RELAXING, hiking, bird and nature watching, silence, solitude, photography, art. And there are family campfires in the eve along with the singing of coyotes and owls. Within driving distance are attractions such as antique stores, restaurants, museums, and others. However, most guests prefer to spend their time right here on the bluff.
