About the Adirondack Park.... At 6 million acres, the Adirondack Park is the largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States. About half of the park is privately owned and The Branch sits on one of those private parcels.
Some of the outdoor recreation opportunities at the doorstep of The Branch Adirondack Lodge: hike/climb the 46 high peaks; explore hundreds of acres of mountain biking trails, go boating on world-class Lake Champlain, ski Whiteface Mountain (greatest vertical in the East; 20 miles away); explore Mt Van Hoevenberg and Lake Placid, and cross-country ski at the Cascade Welcome Center.
