The overall property appears to be undergoing renovations. At time of booking, the property manager made it clear the hot tub and pool may not be available, it was not. It was difficult to find the building as they hadnât renumbered the buildings after residing the exterior. The unit itself is wonderfully decorated, nice touch! It was clean and very comfortable, however it needs a good spring cleaning to clean some of the clutter out which is not being used. It felt like home for several days. We cooked several meals there and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The owner had notes posted all over the house which helped with understanding where and how the house features worked. Thanks! We didnât have trash bags or dishwasher soap, but we bought some.Bring your own shampoo and body soap as only small bars of soap were supplied. We loved the wood burning fireplace and had a fire two nights.Iâd stay there again!
We loved this home. It is super comfortable, very clean, and close to everything. We were at home right away and enjoyed the roominess. I am picked about my bed, princess and the pea syndrome, and this was the best bed I have slept in, in Summit County. The hosts were wonderful. There is property remodeling going on, so no pool or hot tub. We did enjoy the game room, though. We will rent again.
This property is very dated. The furniture is very old, drawers to cabinets don't work correctly, chair at the dinner table came apart. It's also very dark - not enough lighting at all. The internet is on a shared service, so it's very spotty. If you need to work while staying I would definitely pick a different property. Overall the whole place needs a makeover. I won't stay here again.
We had a great long weekend stay. The kitchen was well appointed, and the beds were comfy. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were out of commission but that was communicated with us before we arrived. Would stay here again.
Very cozy place. The host was great at communicating once I asked for the check in instructions. The place is definitely dated, but its very cozy and better than the pictures. Having a working fireplace was super cozy and added the charm to our family ski trip. Easy parking, fun shared recreational area downstairs and neighbors were quite. Its 20 min to Keystone. The place is at the top of the hill out of town. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. We forgot our crockpot, but luckily they had one so it didn't ruin our meal plans. I would stay here again. They had games for the kids too. Jumanji was a big hit!
The condo itself was clean and comfortable, but an older property. The Keurig coffee maker didnât work and two of the TV remotes had very low batteries that we replaced. But mostly we were disappointed that the buildingâs hot tub was out of service and the sauna wasnât working. The location was good and the hosts were conscientious in providing information for our stay. Overall a good stay.
A little dated, but well stocked. Owners went above and beyond to provide coffee, cocoa, paper towels, toilet paper and kleenex. Elevator was out of service, but unit is on the end and close to a second, more convenient stairway.
Clearly this is an old building. Heating was up in the air. We had a fire going the entire time as the electric heat wasn't keeping up. Pool was easily accessible. Hot tub out of order. Ran out of coffee filters for the small coffee pot. Kureg not working. WiFi was spotty. The kids loved learning how to use a VCR. There were a lot of great movies and games to choose from. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower was hot. Fire was cozy. Cooking was easy. We had a memorable family vacation and appreciate the constant contact from the owner. Bring a sweater and your fire starting skills.
We enjoyed our stay and my son learned how to use a VCR which was exciting for him. The amenities are older and the game rooms didn't have operational games. It was nice to have the pools and the hot tub was a bit warmer than the pools.
The location was great and there is a perfect and manicured trail in walking distance.
Good value for price and location. Thank you!
Barbara gave us detailed instructions on getting to the condo few days before our scheduled arrival, thank you Barb.
The condo is spacious and clean; located 3 miles from the village of Silverthorne up the hill. The roads were cleared inspite the heavy snow the area got during our stay. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. However, the pots and pans need to be replaced by new ones as the tefllon was worn off.
We appreciated the wood provided for the fireplace as we had a cozy, comfortable place to enjoy after a day of skiing. We also appreciated Barb's hospitality in providing us with coffee, tea and cocoa. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was under maintenance during our stay.
Thank you Barb for providing us a home away from home for a reasonable price.
Highly recommend this property in Wildernest. Very clean condo with lots of amenities. Prefect for a family ski trip as close to 4 different ski areas.
Thanks to Barb and Norm for letting us book last minute after our Christmas was canceled bc of the winter storm. The condo is perfect. My kids loved the decor, they have hooks everywhere to hang wet ski clothes, nightlights in the bathrooms so you can see at night, and a wood burning fireplace with wood inside to build! The kitchen is perhaps the best equipped one that I have stayed in. When we got snowed in before checkout this morning, Barb promptly called the property manager and an hour later there was a CAT snowplow moving snow. Thank you thank you guys for saving our Christmas!
We stay in Silverthorne every year from Indiana. This is a well decorated, comfortable condo with a responsive owner. The only issue we had was with the laundry room. There were machines that accepted credit card but they were âofflineâ each time we tried to use them. We finally found enough coins and ran the washer but the dryer ate our coins, which effected our ski clothes. It was irritating for my wife as you can imagine, but this wouldnât impact us from renting the place again. I would prefer a view on the other side of Lake Dillon. This is the first time staying in this area and having a view of the parking lot. I would rent the place again.
This is our second year at this property, and it is exactly what we need for a ski weekend. It is centrally-located to all the Summit County resorts, it is clean and comfortable, and the communication is easy.
When we had a slight issue getting the check-in instructions via email, we called the owner and she immediately called us back, gave us the directions, and told us the door code.
We would stay here again without question.
Great unit. We skied a number of places, so the central location of this unit was perfect.
Never got check in instructions before we arrived, so there was confusion, but Barb was helpful in sorting it out.
This condo felt very comfortable and homey to us, but we don't use it all year long so we thought we would share it with others that want more than a hotel but want to spend less than fancy resorts.
Fulls stocked kitchen---utensils, pots, pans and dishes. You only need to bring the food-----nearby City Market, Walmart or Safeway. Then after your meal, you can hike, ski, bike, etc Close to many ski areas.
