We appreciated the cleanliness and the spaciousness of the home. The lighting in the home was exceptional. The kitchen is beautiful, but if one is considering cooking while there, plan to bring everything that you would need. There is no toaster, the icemaker does not work, (we think it would be great if they wouldâve at least had some ice trays for us to fill). There was no towel paper, I could not find a dish rag, but they did have a couple of dish towels to use. There is no detergent for the dish dishwasher. There is a large Keurig coffee maker, but we could not get the large side to work.(the piece that holds the coffee filter would not insert, however you could make single cups. As far as cooking is concerned, your best bet is to plan each meal and any seasoning that you might need. They had a large grill there, but no burners are grate in it. In our opinion, for seniors or anyone with a disability, the home needs improvements. There are no grab bars for the shower. There is a step down off of the rear bedrooms and the main living area into a family area. We found that very easy to improperly step down. The floor going from the dining area into the kitchen has a wooden strip that is also easy to trip on. The screen door going off of the screen porch is difficult, just in the way that it opens to begin going down the stairs. We think that it would be much safer with the door opening from the opposite side. Bathrooms, bring toiletries, soap, etc.
