We had an amazing stay at the Tommy House. It was cozy, clean, and beautiful! The house is not far from Hocking Hills which makes for an easy commute to hiking trails. The host thinks of everything when it comes to the essentials and has added a lot of small touches to make the house feel like home.
Had a great stay! There was a minor inaccuracy in the listing - host corrected it immediately and offered a discount. Very responsive host, cute place, highly recommend.
My family enjoyed the stay. Tommy house was comfortable . We especially loved, eating dinner, in the back patio. It's a quiet neighborhood. We ended our stay with a campfire our in the front of the house.
We took it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway!
What a wonderful spot! It was clean, tidy, and incredibly cozy. Everything we could've wanted was provided, and we had a fantastic time! The view was incredible, and would've been even more amazing in spring or fall. Lena was super responsive, welcoming, and kind. A wonderful house with a very special story.
The house was amazing, it was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. The pictures donât do it justice, the house is beautiful. The only issue we found is there is no lighter provided for the fire pit, but we would absolutely stay again!
It was a perfect choice for our weekend getaway. The house is comfy, very well-maintained, and fully stocked. Everything you could ever need is already there. The house is 100% family/kid friendly. Easy access to the property and Wi-Fi worked great. ***Be aware / T-Mobile signal is weak in this area.
I was finally able to take my entire family on a short but much needed family getaway a the host couldn't have been more courteous an helpful. She left a note for activities I had mentioned. A was always available for help. Our family had an amazing time an we are looking forward to coming back to the same place every year.
Tommy House was so cozy and comfy for our little family! Lena was a great host, very responsive throughout the start of my booking. We came for a last minute trip to do some hiking and Tommy house was a clean, comfortable space to be at! Also very accommodating for us bringing our toddler! We had all we needed for our stay! Favorite spot was the deck and the views from it! Thanks again!
We loved staying here! The house was clean and well kept up, and the view out back was tremendous - it backs on to a huge tree-lined ravine and a state forest (I can only imagine what it's like in the fall when the leaves change colors). The location is fairly remote which is perfect for a getaway with peace and quiet, but close enough to the Hocking Hills to make for some good sightseeing. There's a grocery store about 15 (?) minutes down the road as well. The host (Lena) was easy to communicate with and went out of her way to fix the wifi right after we checked in, and made sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend a stay here!
This house was perfect and cozy for our family trip to the Hocking Hills. We were able to be comfortable like we were home. We enjoyed the sights of the Hocking Hills and able to return to the house to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing evening by the campfire. Lena was a wonderful host. She had everything there and easy to find! We did not have to bother her at all!
I grew up in Vinton County and it's been home my whole life. Lake Hope and raccoon creek were always my favorite places to be. I've traveled all over the U.S and some countries outside of the U.S. but there truly is no place like home. So when I got the chance to share our county with others there was no question that it's what I wanted to do. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I love the springtime when all the flowers are blooming and the woods are waking up from the winter, the summer nights hanging out around the campfire, even in autumn when all the maples are firey red and yellow or the peacefulness of the snow covering the ground. I couldnt imagine being anywhere else but here. It's so relaxing looking out over the woods from the deck while drinking your morning coffee.
It's a hidden gem, quiet cozy comfy and clean. With many things to do within a few minutes drive. From hunting and fishing to hiking or shopping to horseback riding .
