Please be mindful of making sure you buy canned drinks. Glass is certainly not allowed in the pool area. We have a Pelican 8 can cooler for you in the condo for packing up for the pool or beach. Trust me, its easier to go refill the cooler instead of lugging a huge cooler. The 8 can works great LOL.
This condo was once The Texan. The Texan was the primary hotel for MTV Spring Break all the way through the 80's and early 90's. The condo - hotel has a lot of history and fun looking up the history and knowing what it must have been like at that time.
We think the location is absolutely perfect. We are exactly 3/4 of a mile from the Board Walk. Along your walk to the boardwalk you have Landshark Grille, Crabby's, The Fountain Tiki Hut, and Ocean Deck!!! That's all before you even make it to the boardwalk. Once there you have SO many selections as well. We will provide you with a digital guide book once you book. This will help you start planning all the things you want to do.
All of the above is heading north up the beach.
When heading south, not much that way other than a long walk. But, driving to the south you will find all of your grocery stores and little breakfast shops. Also listed in our guide book
Once here you will have a parking pass hanging in the condo for your vehicle. You MUST get this as soon as possible and please hang it from your rear view mirror. You will only be provided with (1) parking pass. The property only allows one vehicle per condo here. Parking is tight and heavily monitored as people try to park here to access the beach and many cars are towed because of it. But that's good for you as a guest with your parking pass. Means you should always have a spot.
Also for access here, you will be provided (2) keys. These keys will be needed to access pretty much everything here. The keys will be your way in and out of the pool, the gate to the beach and to get back in to the pool area beach access point. There is also bathrooms on the main level by the pool and you will need your key to access that as well.
Inside our condo we would describe it as modern / industrial. We just wanted something completely different from what we have at our home. We really like the way it turned out. Inside you will have plenty of cabinet and drawer space to completely unpack and hang your things up and or put your things in the drawers. Considering our condo only has one bedroom, we created a dresser and full height cabinet build outs with a lighted mirror so the ladies and us bougie guys to get ready without taking up valuable bathroom time for the others staying with you.
We consider ourselves foodies. Most of the condos here have small "kitchenette" style kitchens with little room. We opted for a glass top full width induction cooking with touch screen with no knobs. By doing this it creates a much larger space for food prep. Our kitchen, cookware, and dishware is simple but effective. We have everything you need to create nice meals just as you would at home. We just didn't want to clutter up the space with random items everywhere. We are certain we have created a space that is simple and still enjoyable to cook. Please let us know if you need suggestions for those great local meat and seafood markets. Much better than the grocery store products.
transit is pretty easy here. Daytona Beach has both Uber and Lyft. We do suggest trying to have your own vehicle or rent a vehicle. A few amazing little towns near by worth the day trip to explore if you are able to. We will gladly help you plan a fun trip exploring up and down the Space Coast Beach towns.
