We loved everything about this farmhouse. It was such a unique experience, loved the animals and the fire pit overlooking the green rolling mountains. Canât wait to come back!
This house was designed to maximize its beautiful mountain views. The back porch and back room are especially wonderful (for the views), but the whole house is unique, lovely, and spacious. There is plenty of room for people to spread out, and nice large spaces for people to get together. The house was spotless, and the kitchen provided plenty of room for us to make meals. Just a beautiful, peaceful place.
My sister and I had a great time staying in this beautiful home. It was nice having a lot of space to relax in the evenings when we returned from traveling around Vermont. Thank you!
If you are looking for an authentic farm life experience, this is your place. Imagine visiting Grandma in the country. It is quiet, peaceful, and remote. Farm animals are next door. The house is large with plenty of room for a family. If you do not want an authentic farm experience, this is not the place for you. the host is very responsive and provides everything you need.
Worth the drive from VA to Vermont to stay at Marsh Brook!
Lovely well maintained farmhouse in pastoral setting, cool breezes, and little traffic on country road. Loved watching sunsets from back porch and from the screened room off the kitchen. Comfortable beds, soft sheets, LOTS of towels and hot water! Super easy check-in and Staci was readily available. when we had a question. Also she reached out to us to see if we needed anything (just more time at Marsh Brook) We would be pleased to stay there again --- and hope to in the not too distant future!
What a wonderful family Christmas! All of are still talking about it and it has made us so much closer! Everything was so perfect!
Animals scenery and snow added so much atmosphere! Great pictures. Thank You Stacy. Did receive deposit on card. It had been entered twice and then one removed Thank you Ann and Darla Shumate and family
This farmhouse is roomy and welcoming. There is ample room for guests to spread out and the mountain views from the lovely sunroom and back porch is wonderful. Cooking is a passion of mine and the kitchen was well equipped with lots of pots and pans, dishes, serving pieces and a jenaire range! Between the large dining room and great farmhouse table on the sun porch cooking for a large group is a joy at Marsh Brook! Staci and Julie were excellent hosts and very helpful with our special requests and local information. Rochester is a great Vermont town with everything we needed available right in town.

Fantastic house
We had a great time staying in this house for 5 nights. The farm next door was an added bonus for my kids. The owner was very fast to respond and great to work with.
beautiful setting and comfortable house. Staci was super helpful and responsive.
very cozy, great heating system, up to the bone chilling weather. on a working farm so there were flies even in the winter...
The views were beautiful, the weather was great - the perfect Vermont summer week!
Mom grew up across the valley from this house, she attended 4-H meetings here 80 years ago, so it was the perfect place to spend a family reunion week. The house had everything we needed. Depending on the night between 5 and 8 of us were in residence - plenty of room. The sun porch was amazing - wonderful views. It was great to have a washer and dryer on the premises. The house is in farm country, so there are noises, smells and flies and the house is old - uneven steep narrow stairs - both tubs and the shower are up stairs - a half bath downstairs. We really enjoyed ourselves.
We stayed in this beautiful farmhouse for a wedding this past weekend, and we absolutely loved it. We could not have been happier. The scenic views from the back deck and street were beautiful. The house itself was wonderfully maintained and slept all 7 of us who stayed there comfortably. We even have mentioned that it would be fun to go back some weekend when we had nothing else going on in the area so that we could utilize the house more. Staci was wonderful at answering any questions that we had. We will be back!
Seven of us booked this house in October while on a foliage tour of New England. Very nice house, with plenty of room. Beautiful scenery all around and close to many attractions. Kitchen was large and well stocked. Enjoyed watching all of the animals around the farm. Perfect place for our stay.
We loved our stay at Marsh Brook. My 3 year old loved the barn next door where she could see tons of different animals - peacocks, kittens, hogs, piglets, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, dogs, cows, etc. There was a large yard we could play in, so if you're looking for a chance to have your kids get out and about - this is your place. The house was clean and location was very convenient. There's only one shower and we had 7 adults and 2 kids... But it worked out fine. They had left some fans there, as we were there during the summer and it was hot, so they were a huge plus. The view is awesome. The porch and added enclosed back room was awesome. We will definitely try to go back!
We had a great stay at the farmhouse! The layout of the home is a little quirky, but it it's a great house for a group ski weekend. We had everything we needed. Staci was amazing and extremely nice. She was very prompt with answering all my questions. She even mailed me the jackets we left at the house - I am very thankful and would definitely stay here again!
Very good. Great house, well stocked, in a beautiful country setting.
The four of us, friends from our college days, have been getting together for a cross country ski/snow showing weekend every winter for over thirty years. Marsh Brook is the most well situated, spacious, comfortable spot for a weekend away that we have found. Highly recommended. We will be back.
Superb location but within easy reach of the little town and it's shops.. A good centre for seeing the locality, for walking and other activities. Lots of farm animals around, including sheep, alpacas, horses and cows. We had good weather for most of the time and the autumn colours were stunning.
Children would love the closeness to nature afforded by this place, but someone who expects top-notch comfort may be disappointed.
The house is old and creaks a bit. It is mostly clean and warm, though a little patience is sometimes called for! But we are talking about a building that has history even for Vermont!
The house was great. Lots of rooms and bathrooms. The Kitchen was fully equipped and great to have 2 dinning areas to eat in. GREAT house for multiple families (2 probably). It had 3 toilets, 2 bath tubs (one being a 3 person jet tub) and 1 shower. I would say it probably could use another shower downstairs off the room with the queen bed. The laundry room was huge and came in handy to do a quick load of our snotty ski masks! It is about 35 min from both killington and sugarbush so you have options to ski both. The town of Rochester isn't much. They do have wifi which was a blessing because the 80's TV didn't cut it. They did have a few games we played.. Trivial pursuit was a hit w/ the kids. when we didn't ski one day. I would have thought they would put a flat screen TV in the downstairs living room but I guess it's a retreat from the modern world. There are horses and cows next door so watch out for the smells at different times of the day. A great find!
Staci's house is very cozy and have everything we need, 30-40min drive to Killington and Sugarbush, and enough table space and chairs for any game in the night. Overall we are very satisfy with our stay, will definitely recommend!
