We had a great start here. The property was beautiful. My only note to other guests is that the grill is charcoal and we were not aware we needed to bring our own charcoal. It is not available on the island, make sure to bring your own!!! Other than that, everything was fantastic. Beautiful property, and a huge unexpected plus was how close it was to the beach.
We had three generations staying at this house to celebrate Thanksgiving. The property is even more beautiful in person than it is online. The team really went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible time!
Me and 8 other of my friends who I work with were given a week off work to spend together. We were all between the ages of 21-25. The neighborhood was very peaceful and the beach had very little foot traffic. It felt like we had most of the island to ourselves. Something I missed in the description was the ferry you have to take over to the island. It cost 55 a vehicle round trip which makes you resourceful when making trips off the island. As long as you load up on groceries and plan out your meals for the stay it is very manageable. A few beds werenât made upon arrival but we did not mind. Communication with the host was great, very responsive. I would recommend for a group of 9 or lower.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful palm island home. The ocean access was amazing, as we were able to dock our boat and hop on and off the water with ease. We also were super happy with the quick proximity to the stunning beachfront. We would absolutely stay in this spacious and comfortable home again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The view was amazing. Had the opportunity to see jumping dolphins in the waterway. The kitchen was a dream. Owner was super accommodating. We will definitely return!!!
Great for our large family gathering. Beautiful house with large bedrooms, wonderful common/ entertainment area. Large sliders open to great screened in porch with the awesome view of canal and intercostal water way. Great dock for fishing and tying up your boats. With golf carts and kayaks available to rent from owner and quick response to any questions or needs. This is the perfect rental on Palm Island.
We stayed here for a family holiday in December 2024. The home was habitable (everyone had a bed and clean towels/sheets), but sparsely furnished. Unfortunately some amenities were not as advertised - for instance there are 2.5 bathrooms, not the 3.5 listed, there were no bikes as listed and there were several kitchen and main living area cabinet doors broken when we arrived, many burnt out light bulbs in the bathroom, an alarm (fire?) hanging by its wire from the ceiling, along with cracked grout in the shower and a broken shower door.We were advised the home received light hurricane damage prior to arrival, but arrived to discover that all exterior doors of the wraparound deck and entire back staircase was off limits due to hurricane damage. This is understandable given the weather, but it would have been beneficial to know ahead of time given we were traveling with two small children. Finally, communication was patchy. Sometimes the host was responsive and other times I had to prompt for a reply. There was not a great amount of attention paid to detail. For example, I ordered kayaks and was overcharged by double what they were supposed to cost. I noticed the error and it was fixed.Overall we enjoyed our visit to the island itself, but found the accommodations expensive for what they were. The interior of the home could use some updates/repairs, the ad description updated to accurately reflect the space and more forthcoming communication would be welcome.
There are pros and cons to most places, but the pros outweigh any cons here. The area is still recovering from hurricane Ian in September 2022 and this was evident by many rebuilding efforts still ongoing on the island. This property has a few minor issues still being addressed and could use some updated patio furnishing. We stayed a month and found the beds a bit firm and somewhat confining for adults in the "bunk room". Aside from that the house was very clean with a marvelous view. Until a ladder is installed (apparently soon) getting to a kayak from the dock largely depended on proximity to high tide. Kayaking is fantastic in either direction and both manatee and dolphin can frequently be spotted from the dock, house, or kayak. The owners are extremely accommodating and arranged for a golf cart and kayak rentals which were at the property when we arrived available for immediate use. The beach is wonderfully uncrowded, which is an understatement. The cost of the ferry likely contributing to seclusion. Shelling is therefore quite good. Overall this property should enable you to have a very relaxing vacation.
