On the brick road, this quaint downtown apartment is full of charm. 600 ft of renovated space will accommodate 4 for short term rentals or 2 for rentals of more than 1 week. Conveniently located to help you enjoy hiking at Ionia State Park, kayaking on the Grand River, biking on the Fred Meijer Rail Trail. Centrally located for antique shopping in Ionia, Lowell, Lake Odessa and Portland. You might also enjoy a walking tour of beautiful, historic Ionia. NO SMOKING! NO PETS! NO PARTIES!
Home in Historic Downtown Ionia was pleasant and clean. The bathroom towels were a bit musty. The Febreeze plug in scent was overwhelming. I understood that the lock on the front door needed special care due to it being 100 years old but the inability to verify that the door was locked from the inside was a little concerning; and, therefore I did not have a restful night.
Charming place to stay. Very Clean. There are steep steps to the upstairs apartment. Might be a problem for some. Quiet safe neighborhood. Thank you! Highly reccomended! :)
I wanted to be able to rent an apartment in downtown Ionia. This place ended up to be perfect for our week stay. As I told Jennifer, the bathroom is tight but manageable, the stairs are steep but manageable, the bed is comfortable, the rooms are decorated nicely, There is a closet in which to hang clothes. Truly, this is a home away from home. The air conditioning was perfect and we visit during humid weather. If I wanted to cook it would have been totally possible to do so. Instead we spread the wealth amongst the Blue Water Cafe and Aunt Stephieâs for breakfast. We ate pizza at Renucciâs and one meal at Oliveraâs.We visited Meyer Bakery in Orleans and Flat River Grill in Lowell. We went to the Chinese Buffet in Portland. This apartment was a great home base for our week. We even drove to Traverse City one day. We drove to Fennville/ Saugatuck area one day. We visited family and we attended the Ionia All High School Reunion where we reconnected with many old high school friends. So this apartment was located perfectly for us for investigating this Michigan area. We also visited the local Bertha Brock Park. Before we have walked the Walkway along Grand River. No time for us to do that during this visit. :)Depending on the adventure you want.
Everything is as listed. Rental is an upper unit with private entrance. As my wife did arrive ahead of me, alone at night in an unfamiliar place I would like to suggest 1 upgrade. An electronic lock rather than a lock box mounted low on an adjacent railing for safety reasons, ease of use and to make access easier would be nice, but not a deal breaker. We would stay again if we were ever in town.
Had a lovely stay in this cute upper level apartment in Ionia. Clean and cozy, well decorated and comfortable for our weekend stay. Communication was good with the host, very responsive. Wouldn't mind staying again, and the location is great in proximity to the town on a cute brick road. Worth noting, stairs up are STEEP so be aware if you have heavy suitcases or items to carry up and the bathroom is very snug. Plenty functional, but not any space to move about. Just something to keep in mind.
This property was comfortable, centrally located to many town sites and activities, well stocked with household items and livening decorated with modern appliances including Wi-Fi. I will definitely consider staying here again on future visits to Ionia, MI.
Layout was perfect. Location was good. Stairs are a bit steep, which wasnât a problem for me, but could be for others. Would definitely stay there again!
I live local, owning and operating my own accommodations. I enjoy providing my guests with an attractive, clean and comfortable space to call home while they are visiting Ionia.
The neighborhood has many beautiful historic homes including the Blanchard House Museum open on Sundays and by appointment. You will enjoy a stroll down the street and around the block to admire these homes.
