The property and surrounding area was just breathtaking. We loved the historic-downtown feel. The location is so convenient to many different places restaurants and shopping. Definitely a great little getaway for us I highly recommend it.
Stayed here with my girlfriends for a weekend in Savannah. The place was clean and beautiful. There is a little bit of road noise at night, but nothing major. We had a lovely time!
We had the most wonderful stay at this property. Check in was very easy. The house was so clean and designed beautifully. Water pressure was wonderful, beds were comfortable and the body wash in the bathroom was amazing :)
Highly recommended.
We had 6 girls in town for our annual girls trip, coming from various locations in the country and this property was absolutely perfect for us. Not only did it have great indoor space and was a perfect home base for all our travels, the host was super helpful with all our random traveling questions and was so accommodating.
Beautiful townhome. The pictures do not reflect the large amount of space in the home. It was more than comfortable for seven adults. Because we arrived separately, the only drawback was off-street parking - but we found two spots right out front! It was a great stay!
I booked this for my best friendâs bachelorette weekend, and it was perfect! Within walking distance of Forsyth park and short drives to riverwalk and restaurants. The house was so stylish too!
The unit was perfect for our Girls Weekend away. Communication with the host was great. She was very acommodating when we had to change the date due to a hurricane in our town the weekend of our original date. The house was close to downtown and also Publix to purchase a few things for breakfast. The rooms & beds were very comfortable. We'd definitely come back when visiting Savannah.
We were in town for a girls weekend and the house was absolutely perfect. Big and open social areas in the living room and dining room. Nice size bedrooms. Julianna was an amazing host and was so helpful. Would absolutely recommend!
The house is exactly as pictured- so nicely decorated and clean. We were comfortable and loved our stay. The property manager was easy to communicate with and very accommodating! Thank you!
The house was as advertised. Kitchen was beautiful and it was very comfortable for our family to visit, sleep, eat, play games etc. the only 4 stars are for cleanliness - which we would not have noticed except for a crawling baby, and location since the alley was a little dicey and allot of garbage around.
The house was absolutely beautiful - just as the pictures shown. We loved it! I would make a few suggestions:
1) I would have the owner invest in a basic cable; the TV is a Roku and unless you have an account with a streaming service that allows for live TV, you will not get live TV.
2) The back room is lovely, but does not have a closet nor a dresser, which did not allow for the person staying in that room to put away some of their clothes, unless they went into one of the other bedrooms.
3) More towels are needed, especially when you have a group larger than 3.
Other than that, we had a wonderful time in this home.
The property manager had another AC company come out the next day and they got the AC running but it broke again when a power outage occurred. So we spent a another night with no AC which was not fun, our kids slept downstairs because the AC was working downstairs but all the beds are upstairs so the rest of us slept upstairs. The property manager was very apologetic and did refund us for 2 nights. It definitely put a damper on our vacation but we still managed to have fun. I know things happen amd the property manager did her best to fix the problems we had. I would most likely stay again.
The house was very chic and perfect for a weekend getaway for six ladies. Very clean and decorative. The rental comes with the basics, toilet and paper towel; body wash, shampoo and conditioner; hand and dish soap. Beautiful bedding and comfortable beds. You must be able to climb stairs all bedrooms are on the second floor. And, both entrances to the house require climbing stairs. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishware and cookware. Bring your own food, drinks, condiments. There is a very good Cuban food venue, gas and convenience store directly across the street. Overall is was an amazing stay and would rent it again.
We had a great visit to Savannah and stay at the house. The property updates are really nice while still retaining the charm of the original house. It was nice to have so much space for the family. The location is fantastic, only a short walk to Forsyth Park (which we took the kids to every day). There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. The off-street parking is a really helpful amenity, and nice not to worry about finding a spot on the street. I was initially a little worried about possible noise since it is across the street from a gas station and restaurant, but it was really quiet at night and had a nice neighborhood feel.
Julianna is super responsive and proactively reached out to me several times to check in during the visit.
Just a comment on my 4-star rating for cleanliness. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. The bed linens and towels were really nice. The only reason for the 4-stars are the carpets which had some stains in several of the rooms. So, it's by no means that the property isn't clean (it is!), it's just something your eye jumps to. I can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with keeping carpets clean in a rental. Again, to emphasize, the house is well kept and clean!
We're periodically in Savannah visiting family, so would definitely stay here again!
Julianna is by far the best host we have ever had. She was friendly, accomadating, responsive and charming. The house was beautifully decorated and a step back in time. The surrounding neighborhood is transitional so some characters but everyone was very nice.It was a short walk to Forsyth Park where we had a great lunch at their restaurant. This will continue to be a great choice for a Savannah stay
My name is Julianna Marcarelli. I am from just outside Los Angeles and am currently studying architecture at Savannah College of Art and Design. I grew up in a big family, and we always had people over. My mom is definitely the "hostess with the mostess," and it was she who inspired me to become a host. It is my greatest honor to serve others. My greatest desire is to provide a fabulous experience so that my guests will make memories that will last a lifetime.Â
There are too many things that I love about Savannah. At first, it was the southern hospitality, hanging Spanish moss, and enchanting squares that enticed me too, Savannah. But as I got settled, I began to explore the great cuisine, the breath-taking architecture, and the vast history that is steeped in Savannah culture. And the artâI am continually inspired by all the art in the city!Â
The Darling on Duffy provides its guests with a historic experience with all the modern amenities we so love. Built in 1900, this town house has an elegance and charm about it, and the renovations on the interior perfectly modernize the space while still maintaining the character we all so love in historic Savannah. This home is located in the Victorian District, only 2 blocks from Forsyth Park, making it right in the center of everything. It will leave its guests saying, "That place was simply darling."Â
