To be certain that our home is a good fit for your stay please read our House Rules and send us a message before booking.
Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the basement and attic. With easy, automated check-in and check-out using the Smart Lock, you can be sure to feel right at home right from the beginning of your stay.
We're committed to doing whatever we can to make your stay the best it can be. We absolutely love this city and would be delighted to share with you some of our favorite restaurants, museums, parks or attractions. We respect your privacy and will communicate as little or as much as you wish.
This home sits right on the quiet edge of Pittsburgh's Mt. Washington neighborhood - known for its breathtaking city vistas and expanding network of local restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and ice cream stops. It's a great blend of new and old Pittsburgh.
Getting into town will require a car, or Uber. Many of the city's popular tourist destinations are within 5 to 15 minutes. Able-bodied guests can walk up the hill to find numerous neighborhood bars, restaurants, and overlooks - all within 15 minutes walking distance.
We're available to help make your stay the best it can be, but the level of communication is entirely up to you. It is always our pleasure to make suggestions on where to go and what to do - from museums to my favorite walkable streets.
You will also receive a guidebook three days before check-in with recommendations and instructions for the appliances in the home.
Please be sure to click the "heart" to save this home to your wishlist. Check out our other listings as well.
Please treat our house with the same respect as you would your own home. Weâve put a lot of effort into making this into a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests.
Guests:
We want you to enjoy your vacation and time at our home to the maximum, but we do have to set some restrictions on visitor numbers for safety reasons. (Max Occupancy is 10 guests.) As part of our vacation rental agreement, we need the names and details of each member of your traveling party.
After 4 guests, the nightly cost of the booking increases by $25 per night, per guest to cover additional costs.
Any unauthorized guests will be subject to a $100 per guest per night fee. Any guests beyond the number listed on your itinerary qualify for this fee.
We reserve the right to terminate your stay without a refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy.
Any unauthorized events or parties will be subject to immediate removal. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at our home. Any small gathering must comply with our other house rules regarding noise, the neighborhood, and visitor numbers.
Fire Pits (Propane and Wood):
Please remember to dress warm enough for outdoor conditions.
Please NEVER bring any indoor throw blankets or bedding out to the fire pit!
Pets:
Pets are welcome at our home! If youâre staying here with your furry friend, there are some things weâd like you to help us out with to ensure a smooth stay for everybody.
We know you love your pet, but we ask that you please donât let them up onto the furniture, especially sofas and beds.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Please ensure you clean up after your pet daily.
There is a $25 per night, per pet fee not to exceed 2 pets maximum for pre-approved pets only. If you bring an unauthorized pet, you will be subject to immediate removal plus an additional cleaning fee.
Noise and Neighbors:
We hope you have lots of laughter and fun during your vacation! However, weâd really appreciate if youâre mindful and keep noise to a minimum during nighttime hours between 9PM and 8AM. We love our neighborhood and our neighbors and do our best to show it.
If any neighboring resident reports excessive noise or unruly behavior, we may have to evict you from our property and terminate the vacation rental agreement. This could result in loss of security deposit, rental amount and is subject to penalties. In case of any disputes or neighbor complaints, itâs your duty to notify us as soon as reasonably possible. Our home is equipped with noise and occupancy sensors inside and security cameras outside (including audio). Any tampering with the devices will result in immediate eviction with no refunds.
Cleanliness:
Be sure to maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay. This will make it much easier when check out time comes and our turnover team will be very appreciative.

The Kitchen:
Please treat our kitchen with the love and respect you would your own to keep it in great condition for other guests. Please ventilate the kitchen after cooking anything that could leave behind a strong smell. Do not wash food remains down the drain, but rather throw any kitchen scraps into a trash bag and dispose of them properly.
Trash:
We like to do our bit for the environment and we ask that our guests do the same. There are a few containers outside in the parking area for separating trash and recycling. Please BAG AND TIE UP SAID BAGS before disposing garbage in the proper containers. Do not place loose trash in the large cans outside. Trash pickup is Friday morning. If youâre so inclined, please place and cans at the curbside. Recycling is every other week.

Checking Out:
Any time guests leave the vacation rental, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. Foire aux questions
Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Andrew
I'm Andrew, and I cannot express to you enough how happy I am to be back in my hometown of Pittsburgh. After growing up in the area's declining steel industry, and moving to New England for about 9 years, I'm finally back to the only city that ever felt like home.
I started Steel River Ventures as a way to embrace the city I love when I moved back home to Pittsburgh in 2017. Now I want to share my homes and my city with our guests! I've been fortunate enough to grow over the years along with Pittsburgh and watch it transform. With every day that passes, I discover something else about this city that I love and would be happy to share that with you.
I am more than happy to be as active a host as you'd like. By default, you as a guest will have your privacy, but I'm always available to meet and share my thoughts on the area with you. Be warned though, I love Pittsburgh and that will come through in our conversations!
My primary income is working in vocational learning technology, but I am a car guy at heart. Whenever my schedule allows, I try to get to local track events at roadcourses, auto-cross or hillclimb venues. I enjoy teaching performance driving, car control and driver safety as well. I also try to read a little (usually non-fiction), visit the gym as often as possible, and spend time with family and friends.
