Great home away from home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There were some areas when we arrived that appeared to not have been swept/mopped, but nothing a Clorox wipe didn’t take care of. I believe the listing stated washer/dryer, which I thought meant they were in the condo; they were not, so I assume washers/dryers are available on-site, but I didn’t verify. Excellent location, lots of things to do within 5-10 minutes. Food and ice cream on-site were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Not joy of sands

We arrived to the unit to find the stench of urine and actual urine in the toilet. There was dirt and sand all over the unit as well. There was cleaning supplies left on the counter. There were stains on the couch, pillows, pillow cases and mattress. I have a 4 year old son so my wife and i took advantage of the left cleaning supplies and cleaned the unit ourselves. When i notified vacassa they said that to get a full refund for the cleaning, they would have to send somone out to inspect our cleaning, like they should have prior to our arrival. I also told them about the stains and there solution was to go buy stain remover and clean the couch myself, because they would have to notify the owner and have it professionally cleaned otherwise. So thats what we did. The unit didnt have a pan to cook with and again was told to purchase one and id be reimbursed for my purchase as long as i left it in the unit on departure. Then next mornings we cooked breakfast, and low and behold the dishwasher was broken. I again contacted vacassa and was told the owner had known of the issue since the purchase the year prior. So on Friday before labor day we had people in our unit trying to fix a known issue. We were told that the part would be in and fixed in 3 days. They actually did fix it when they said they would. The mattress in the master bedroom was incredibly uncomfortable. There were holes in it and springs poking us in the back. 10/10 never again. Dont waiA

Sands Beach Club 308

The property was perfect for my family of three to make a quick weekend trip for a volleyball tournament. But it would be close quarters for a week-long visit. The bedroom could use a blackout shade. It was never completely dark in there.

Weekend Getaway

Our stay was nice. The condo was clean and decorated well. We had a cockroach crawling on the wall the first night which freaked out my daughter a little bit but we know that can happen in SC in perfectly clean places. The beach was great, the people around the complex were friendly, this unit has a beautiful view. I’d suggest that the unit is made more comfortable. The mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable and we weren’t able to sleep much at all during our stay. We spent as much time outside as we could but the thunderstorms last night had us inside for the evening. While sitting in the egg chair a bolt came out and I fell backwards. I noticed a bolt on the floor getting up from the floor. The furniture looks nice but again isn’t comfortable to sit on, so we sat on the floor with the pillows to get comfortable. Thank you
